  • Historical and Very Relaxing!

"My husband and I were searching for a comfortable Appalachian farmhouse to stay in for a few days in West Virginia, and the Old Homestead fit the bill perfectly. We were pleased that the house had modern conveniences, yet retained enough of it's historical flair to keep it very interesting and unique. Sally did a great job in renovating this place and provided plenty of information on the history of the families and the structure. My husband and I are very interested in antique furniture and historical architecture, so this was perfect for us! I especially enjoyed feeding the fish in the pond and watching the birds at the feeder in the backyard. We were even visited by a cute little nuthatch, much to my husband's delight! There were plenty of acres on the property to wander around on and the path down to the pond made it super easy to access. The farmhouse is pretty close to town, so it was easy to shoot down the hill to the springs and the shops. We were pleasantly surprised by the water in the springs. My husband was very skeptical, but we could tell it made our skin softer. We had to take some home for a keepsake! There are plenty of quaint little shops in town to check out and everyone in town was really friendly and welcoming. Sally was very responsive throughout the whole process and very patient with us. Even when I was sending her silly questions through email and calling her up when we couldn't find the driveway. We had a great time and can't wait to come back to visit again. Thank you so much for your hospitality!!"

  • Very pleasent stay at Camp 4 Codo #56 in Powderrige, Snoweshoe

"The condo was clean and cozy, and the overall cleanliness was acceptable. In the refrigerator, under the left drawer was some gunk and crusted on liquid, which I removed. The kitchen was well equipped, but besides in the refrigerator, there was absolutely no space available to put groceries. All in all we had a very pleasant stay at this condo. We loved the fireplace, and the ski in/ski out feature of the location. I would absolutely stay at this condo again."

  • Perfect getaway

"We rented this cabin for a girls weekend getaway and it was just what we was hoping for. Secluded and very peaceful. We enjoyed playing cards out on the deck and "Itty Bitty" the cat keeping us company. This cabin is very spacious and the four of us had plenty of room. The bed's were very comfortable which is very unusual when leaving home. While there we enjoyed a night out at the Gandy Mountain Dance Theater and a road trip to Spruce Knob lake and Seneca Rocks. This is the perfect place whether you want to relax or go site seeing, very centrally located to several area activities. Communication with Teresa was fantastic and she made sure everything was taken care of. We will definitely stay here again next time we come back."
