  • Winter Getaway

"Clean, cozy, and warm! My husband and I spent the weekend here and we were very pleased. The kitchen was well supplied, the bathroom had its own separate thermostat to keep you warm, the pull out sofa was cozy to curl up and watch TV, and, yes, the creek was soothing, though it was a little chilly to stay outside to enjoy it. I also like a clean place and it was VERY clean. The gentleman was friendly. We highly recommend it!"

  • Great Stay

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family of eight recently stayed in this unit for six nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. This is the best unit we've ever rented at Snowshoe and will definitely return here in the future."

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great house for our quick getaway after Christmas. Close to both Timberline and Canaan Valley and made it easy to visit both. Love that they even decorated the house for Christmas!"

  • Lovely family getaway

"We stayed there over the Christmas holiday. It was perfect for us. There are two grownup bedrooms, a bunk room, and a full bath upstairs, and a bedroom and full bath downstairs, so plenty of room for everyone. The house is very spacious, but well laid out - a large den with fireplace at one end, a large LR with TV at the other, and a large kitchen in between, so groups can spread out. There is couch seating for about 6 people max in each room, so if you have more you will need to use dining chairs to all gather in one room. (We brought folding lounge chairs with us) We had 10 people and did not run into issues with running out of hot water or anything, and we all fit at the large dining table. The hot tub was very clean and well maintained, as was the whole house. The backyard is huge and semi-fenced and has a nice fire ring. The Walmart shopping plaza was very close and convenient for last minute grocery shopping. Unfortunately the weather did not allow us to take advantage of the River Riders' activities, but they are very close and convenient - about a 2 minute walk from the house. The highway (340) is pretty close to the house and in the driveway we worried it would be loud, but the house is very soundproof. In the winter it seemed very remote, quiet, and hidden away - probably in the summer there would be quite a bit more traffic past the house, going to River Riders', but the deck and hot tub are completely walled in by privacy fencing. Note that this is not in walking distance of Harpers Ferry proper - you would need a car to get to the National Park area."
