  • Great property beautiful setting

"I was in town for business for two months, and so thankful I found this wonderful home. I was greeted immediately by Jason we quickly became friends. The home is very comfortable and has everything you need. I really enjoyed the large property so beautiful to wake up and see the lake. Charlene was very easy to work with and responds fast. Thank you to Jason and his family for making me feel so welcome. Highly recommend this home."

  • Very Relaxing Stay

"This was the best place we have stayed at yet, be it a VRBO or HomeAway. It was a beautiful cottage with great views of both lakes and a pier to just sit and relax at. We enjoyed the fire-pit one night just reminiscing about past golf get-a-ways. The courses around this area are very fun and picturesque. Enjoyed the various restaurants and local bars nearby. The cottage was great, had everything we needed and the place was very clean! Will definitely go back. Thanks for a fun relaxing weekend . Mark"

  • Amazing Time!!

"My family (4 adults and 4 kids) stayed late August and had an absolutely marvelous stay! Everything was clean and in great shape. The cottage was more than we could have imagined for. Our kids had so much fun as did the adults. The neighbors were friendly and the area is just very laid back and wonderful. We rented a pontoon from the nearby marina one day which was a great time! We made use of the pier and fire pit and the kids even enjoyed finding "sea shells" wading in the water just off the dock. Initially, there was some payment confusion between myself, vrbo and the owner which was promptly resolved. We would LOVE to stay here again, but the neighbors made it sound like they might not be renting much in the future :( I believe one is retiring and planning to make use of the vacation home themselves! Congrats on retirement! Hope we can come to the area to stay again in the future!"

  • A great lodge getaway!

"We had a great time at the River Run Lodge! My brothers, sister and I all spent a wonderful week together, with all our children enjoying the lodge, bunkhouse, pool, and the amazing back woods on the property. The drive down to the property is amazing. It must be at least a mile... it keeps going and going, taking you further and further into the woods away from cars, roads, and worries. By the time you think you must be lost, the road stops and you are there! Little Wolf River runs right through the property and we spent the first hour standing by the babbling brook, relaxing and letting our cares drift away. The kids saw a swimming animal, we think it was a muskrat? We couldn't tell for sure and we weren't about to bother the animal for a closer look. We could see fish and frogs and turtles all swimming contentedly... the kids loved it! (Well, so did the adults!) We started by checking out the place on the first day. It is huge and filled with hunting and fishing trophies. Of course, the kids immediately ran to the bunk house where they "oohed" and "aaahed" at the lofts and bunks. They were quick to claim "their" spot! And then they noticed the pool table, and that was the last we saw of them for a few hours. :) We aren't hunters or fishers... but that didn't keep us from enjoying the decor. Next, we turned to food. Two full size refrigerators, two ovens, and one of each was in the garage so we could cook without heating up the house. Very nice! Everybody brought some of the food and we took turns cooking meals. The huge garage was mostly empty and a giant picnic table was just big enough for all 17 of us to eat as a big happy family. The next day, the kids discovered the pool! And that kept them busy for hours. Beach balls, games of tag, sitting in the sun or shade, and the kids had squirtguns. Everybody got soaked, even if you didn't go in the pool! One night was devoted to s'mores and the fire. A big firepit was loaded up with wood and we enjoyed a roaring campfire, the kids roasted marshmallows and enjoyed treats. There were mosquitoes... we all loaded up with Deet. The days were relaxing and pleasant, and fans and a nice breeze kept the place enjoyable. We even enjoyed two big rainstorms, sitting on the large covered porch and telling stories while eating. But in between, we played yard games, swam in the pool, and went for long walks. We had an amazing time. Thanks Jon for sharing your home with us!"
