  • A fabulous and beautiful getaway

"A very comfortable and relaxing place to stay with many special touches and a beautiful secluded location. The owner was very accommodating and went out of her way for our group."

  • Quaint, cozy - great location!

"Stayed with teenage kids, quick, short family getaway before school starts. Unlike other postings we all found the beds to be comfy. The location of this little house cannot be beat! Lots to do in the area, lots to see and eat, and drink at. No evening fires! That is probably the only negative, once you arrive at the home you can see why the owners say NO fires. I would say that this little home probably sleeps 5 better than six. A small kid, under 9 years old, would fit just fine on the couch if you use that as a bed. The futon was comfortable, BECAUSE it is a futon, we brought with a thick cushy sleeping bag we have along, and used it as a "mattress" on top of the futon, husband slept there, and slept like a baby (and he is the biggest complainer), The owners provide everything you need. We couldn't find any towels the first 1 1/2 days, but then realized they were in the hamper in the bathroom. Everything you need is in the kitchen to prepare a meal. The value and location of this little home makes it worth checking out. It is a GREAT LITTLE HOME. Do not expect some grand Hilton hotel experience, if you want that, go somewhere else, but if you are just fine with a cozy, comfy, tiny little home, furniture comfy hand me down type stuff, this is the place for you! There is a TV, satellite TV and there is an air conditioning unit that does a great job cooling off this little home. Oh! there is very little cell reception in most of the area - just so you know. This home is super close to the river, walk there in under 1 minute. You cannot step foot on any of the docks there, they are owned by others, so don't even try. There are many boat rental places nearby - two just across the street from this home. RENT A BOAT OR PONTOON - YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY. I would bring extra towels of your own to take to the beach or on a boat ride. Other than that, I would recommend this home to anyone that needs a small getaway and you have a smaller budget like us."

  • Great summer rental!

"My seven friends and I take a week long vacation each year and this was our rental for 2016. We had a wonderful time at this rental. The lake was mostly quiet with a few boats and watercraft at a time. We enjoyed kayaking(we brought our own, although one double kayak is on property along with a canoe and a paddle boat with very tricky steering). We also enjoyed the included sandy beach where we could just sit in the water and relax, chat, swim, or read. The upper deck and lower patio were also great places for gathering and relaxing. We walked nearly every day and had fun looking at all the different styles of homes on the lake. Wautoma offers several tasty restaurants--our favorites being The Moose Inn(we walked there), the Farm Market(lunch spot), Christiano's(pizza, pasta and sandwiches)and Silvercryst (the less expensive bar menu). We also took some day trips into Princeton, Oshkosh, Ripon and WI Dells. There are good wineries in the a Dells and Ripon. Princeton has great antiques, a couple of nice restaurants(Blue Moon) and shops. This is the first rental we've ever had that required us to bring our own sheets and pillows. We also recommend bringing your own tp, dish soap, trash bags, some food storage bags or Tupperware, towels and personal supplies. The owner was incredibly nice, very quick to respond to questions, and was also kind enough to supply some firewood, water, and frozen pizzas. The rental is perfect for families or groups of friends."

  • Awesome!!!!!!

"My family had a wonderful time at the lake! This home is very well taken care of. It's exceptionally clean and wonderfully decorated. The house had central air which was really nice for hot days. The beds were comfortable and all linens were provided. Pillows are provided too, but we like to bring our own when traveling. Bathroom towels are also provided. The house is very spacious, and we were surprised at how big the living room is. There are three couches and 2 comfortable chairs. The porch overlooking the lake is where we ate all of our meals/played games, etc... There is a pavilion just up from the lake that is covered and has some lounge chairs for your enjoyment. And a wonderful sauna! There is a large pier where you can dock your boat. We had a fun time jumping off the end into the water. We fished off the dock and caught some blue gill and bass. We caught minnows and had fun looking at rocks. The lake has a sand bottom and is really clean. We would rent this house again. Thank you!!"
