"We loved our stay, had everything we needed, all comforts of home. Home is beautiful inside and out. Could not have asked for better comforts. Will stay again in the future! Thanks for everything!"

  • Better than Advertised

"We were in the area for 3 nights and were extremely impressed with this property. From our first contact with Ken & Lindsay, to saying good bye when we left, everything was perfect. The views are spectacular & sitting in the gazebo late at night and early in the morning allowed us to enjoy the surroundings. We had deer walk by between the house and the lake and saw several small fawns in and around the driveway. The furnishings were top notch, especially the comfortable beds. Sitting in the great room looking out over the lake was priceless. The deck is large and inviting but we kept gravitating to the gazebo. We contacted Ken & Lindsay multiple times prior to arrival to ask questions and they were more than accommodating in getting us the information we needed (grocery stores, good restaurants, etc). The home is close to Petenwell County Park which is a hidden gem by itself. While there, we rented a boat slip for our pontoon and rented the picnic shelter. They also have a great boat ramp and swimming beach. They charge a minimal day fee but with the boat slip, they waive that. If you are looking for a place to get away, relax and enjoy nature, this is the place to be. If we return to the Lake Petenwell area in the future, we know where we will be staying."

  • Perfect Lake House!

"An absolutely clean, comfortable well-equipped lake house! Perfect for our needs. Quiet and restful among the dancing reeds by the waters edge and the whispering pines above. The stars at night are overwhelming in number and brightness! The "pond" (actually a fair-sized lake) was perfect for our canoe. And our dog loved romping around the big yard. The house is nicely updated, but still has that 50s lake cottage charm to it. The neighborhood is very friendly and a very well-stocked grocery store is in town not far away. We enjoyed having a log fire in the outdoor fire-pit every night. We had a very refreshing stay and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for the same "lake house" vacation. We've been VRBOers for over 15 years and this is one of the best. Perfect! Thanks Charlene and Jason!"

  • Great family and friend property that holds multiple guests!

"My family, friends, and I went to Paul's house for the 4th of July weekend. Everyone had an absolute blast. We had about 16 people in our group and didn't know what to expect as far as sleeping arrangements went. To our surprise there were beds for each person. Paul has this place set up so well for large groups. It has a very "homey" type feel and we all couldn't have been happier. There is a great deck to hang out on with views of the lake, a large yard for corn hole or tossing a football, and plenty of kitchen space. Paul was super responsive and helpful with anything we needed. I would definitely recommend this property. Thanks for a great 4th!"
