  • Family fun in Cedar Grove

"Our family of 9 adults & 6 grandchildren spent another week in this amazing home. It was our 2nd time in 2 years. We returned because of the wonderful amenities that this property provides (7 bathrooms, 6 bathrooms, 2 washing machines, 2 clothes dryers, baby crib, pack & play, open floor plan etc...). Once again, it did not disappoint! There was something for everyone. Golfing at The Bull at Pinehurst for adults and Bookworm Garden for the children. Preparing meals together was a pleasure. The gourmet kitchen was stocked with every conceivable item that was needed. My husband especially loved the enormous gas grill on the deck. The remainder of our stay was spent outdoors on the majestic grounds of the home. We loved the trampoline, basketball court and fire pit. Of course, the shining jewel of our week was having the Lake Michigan shoreline and beautiful private beach in our backyard."

  • Clean, well and thoughtfully furnished with a SPECTACULAR view

"We had a few days with our young adult kids (a miracle in itself!) and stayed for three nights at Lake Shore House. We arrived after dark and were excited to see the lake the next day. I woke up at 4:30 that morning to a BREATHTAKING sunrise. It was so beautiful that we purposely got up the next morning to have coffee with our kids and watch the sunrise (and then go back to bed...). Lake Shore house is close to downtown and we rode our bicycles into town on Saturday morning to get freshly picked strawberries and asparagus for our evening meal. We also bought an exquisite and HUGE bouquet of flowers (peonies, delphinium and others I can't name) for only $8. The house is decorated with Mark's original artwork, and we purchased some pieces to bring home. All in all -- it was a wonderful time."

  • Family Thanksgiving

"Great place for 12 family members to gather for the holiday. There were lake views from most of the rooms. Loved the window seats in the living room and dining room area. Had all the kitchen equipment we needed to cook Thanksgiving dinner. Used the extra oven in the guesthouse too. Kids loved the ping pong table which was set up in the guest house garage. We enjoyed the wood fireplace in the house. Just a side note - the house is more like a cabin, it's not modern but does have all the amenities you need for a big group. It was perfect for our group. The beds were really comfy and the views of the lake were beautiful. The guesthouse is located behind the main house across the road which has an up to date kitchen and set up. This was perfect for our family who have younger children."

  • Wonderful, relaxing time!

"We spent five nights at this awesome secluded cabin with it's private beach. Can't say enough about it. Our dogs loved swimming in the lake and the kids like playing on the beach. There is a great park nearby, too. We'll be back! Thanks, Sally."
