  • Best of the Best

"What can I say, we have stayed in cabins all over the North woods and a number of other states and I have say this was the best. The location is ideal, the cabin is beautiful and the surroundings are so peaceful and quiet you think that you are the remote wilderness. A big plus for us was we could bring our dog Sophie along. She enjoyed it as much, if not more, than we did. Lake is small which means that using a trolling motor will get you around fine. Fishing was good, with large crappies, some perch and at least one good sized Northern with a swallowed spinner. Hope to get back soon, and may try the late fall or early winter. I think it would be even more spectacular. Can't forget the hummingbirds, great way to lose time, just sit and watch them. Harry & Sandy"

  • Such a relaxing wonderful stay

"My husband and I had such a great trip with our two dogs. The cabin was the perfect size, open living area, great deck with a beautiful view of the lake. So nice to walk down to the private dock for our pups to jump right into the water. We took the row boat out which was fun to explore the lake. We were less than a 10 minute drive to the town with a great grocery store and little restaurants if you want to eat out. Our only minor complaint was the front of the cabin was right on the road. However, that road was a dead end quiet road and all our hanging out was on the back deck and at the lake so it didn't effect us much. Thanks for a great stay!"

  • Awesome Week!

"Shared this cottage with another couple. We all felt so at home and comfortable here. The smell of pines is amazing and the location at the end of a private drive is so peaceful and secluded. We had everything we needed and more. Great bike trail close to cottage, lots of good supper clubs in the area. Nice lake for kayaking and for sitting at the end of the dock to watch sunsets and one storm come in. Had eagle, osprey, loons, and frog sightings! Tomahawk is a small town, but had everything we needed during our stay. Kevin and Tracey were so great to work with! Loved the outdoor shower!! We hated to leave, but hope to return next year!"

  • Great Spot for a Large Diverse Group

"We rented out this great cabin for a bachelorette party weekend with about 22 people. The group was mid 20's all the way up to 60's. This cabin offered many different areas to sleep which was nice for people who wanted a quiet night or people who wanted to stay up late! Having two kitchens was also helpful for cooking and storing all of the food/drinks. Everyone really enjoyed the size of the cabin and all the amenities the Ellen had to offer. The only draw back to this cabin was the water/lake. The shore line was pretty much unswimable. We were there during some really hot days in August and the lake was pretty cruddy to swim in. Some girls took floats out but said it wasn't much better in the middle either. However, there is nothing that the own can do about that! There are some close by local bars to go to and the town does offer some grocery stores and gas stations. If you forget anything a trip to the store is not far away. We would all come back and stay again. Ellen was a great host and was able to answer all of our questions. THANKS!"
