  • Our home away from home

"We have absolutely loved staying at Carla and Jay's Cedarwood home for each of the past 8 years. It's been our home away from home for 1-2 weeks each summer. The location is just perfect, the home layout fits our family just right, and we never can wait to get back up there. Carla's emails are always friendly, the home is always in great condition, and firepit out back is the kids favorite part."

  • Excellent cottage that made for a fun weekend

"My wife and I had a wonderful time using this cottage as a home base for our Door County weekend. It's located in a quiet area with spectacular views of a lake, and it's close to plenty of great places to see. The inside has been been well looked after, and we enjoyed the clean, modern look of the rooms and furniture that have obviously been updated over the years to keep up with current styles. The only downside is that we were charged a cleaning fee of $125 for the weekend, which seems a bit steep to us."

  • the Hype! loves Copper Moon Cottage

"Hi! We're a six piece band of Wedding Rock Artists that were playing a nuptial celebration in Sister Bay, and we had the loveliest time at Copper Moon Cottage. It was cozy, spacious and comfortable for a group of rockers that needed a quiet getaway from hours of hustling, shuffling thousands of pounds of equipment, and making people dance. The living room is amazing. We spent hours there, and even squeezed in a quiet rehearsal before the big day. The stereo in the living room is one of the best sound systems we've heard, and all of us made sure to take note of the make and model of the speakers. If I find a pair, I'd buy them. We slept soundly. The neighbors were friendly. We had space to park our multiple vehicles. For a bunch of rockers that are not used to accommodations, this was a real treat. Close to town, lovely and secluded. Thanks for having us. If we end up that way again, we'd stay there for certain. Thanks for everything, -the Hype!"

"My husband and I came here in October for a quiet little getaway. And man did we love it! We loved it so much that my husband wanted to call the cabin owners and ask if it's for sale! HAHA! We LOVED our experience. Also it doesn't hurt that thanks to El Nino we got lucky and hit Door County RIGHT AT PEAK. Everyone in Door County told us how lucky we were because technically we were about 2 weeks late for typical peak. The cabin itself is absolutely wonderful. I would say it is PERFECT for a couple or a family of 4-6. The master bedroom is the top "loft" of the cabin. Then on the main floor are 2 more bedrooms. And then in the basement is a room with I think 2 twin beds- great for kids. The photos look great but I honestly think it's even better in person. The cabin was SO clean. I'm a germ-a-phobe in general and I hate staying in hotels. No matter how fancy the hotel it always feels icky to me. This cabin felt like HOME. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit every single night. It was so perfect in the fall as it's situated pretty far back on the property right under all the big beautiful trees that the cabin backs up to. We also built a fire in the fireplace every night. The ONLY hiccup is the indoor fireplace is a little quirky and the first time we tried to use it the whole cabin filled with smoke. Turns out there is a light switch on the wall that operates some kind of fan in the chimney that must be turned on unless you want to inhale smoke. I wish they had left some fireplace instructions for us. That's really the only hiccup we had. The cabin is warm and cozy and the property is perfect. The cabin is on a fairly large lot and backs up to wooded land. My husband and I even loved the road that leads up to the cabin as it's a TRUE country road. We are even talking about returning in the winter to just cozy up inside and enjoy the fire place and watch the snow fall outside. Maybe do a little snow shoeing. Being in this cabin we felt like we were on a mountain top out in Colorado! And to return with the snow falling would REALLY feel special. We LOVED our stay and LOVED the cabin and would 1,000% return! GORGEOUS, SPECIAL CABIN!"
