  • Relaxing Kangaroo Lake retreat

"Our family of 4 (with two kids ages 8 and 11), stayed here in July 2016. The cottage is clean and beautiful. It has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, which surprised me since the description only says 1 bath. The lake is lovely and the location is perfect for seeing all of Door County -- nothing is far. We enjoyed sitting on the dock and kayaking in the lake. Although small, the cottage has all the amenities you could want with the exception of air conditioning. We happened to be there on 2 of the hottest and most humid days and nights of the year. We spent those hot days away from the cottage or in the lake, but at night it was so hot that it was difficult to sleep (and the only reason for my 4 star review). However, I would not hesitate to stay here again during a cooler season. The neighbors were friendly, and we were surprised to find an area for our kids to run around and play catch."

  • Very Peacefull!

"My first time to Door County and it definitely won't be my last! The Sunflower cottage is wonderfully decorated and far exceeded my expectation. The lake and grounds are beautiful. Wish I could have stayed longer the experience was very good."

  • Vacation home within walking distance of downtown Baileys Harbor

"We recently stayed at the Bailey Boon in Baileys Harbor for a week. We found it to be a lovely home which is surrounded by trees on a quiet street and overlooks Lake Michigan. It is set back from Hwy 57 far enough that you don't get traffic noise, but close enough that it is a short walk to the downtown area and marina. The house is clean, well maintained, and stocked with everything you'll need for a comfortable stay (dishes, linens, pots, pans, gas grill, washer/dryer, etc.). The house was the perfect size for our group of six. I also found both the owner and the rental agent to be friendly and helpful. I would very much recommend Bailey Boon if you are staying in Door County and want a nice rental home on the east side of the peninsula."

  • This is a rustic cottage that is everything a cottage should be!

"Great week at a rustic Door County cottage which reminds me of the way Door County used to be. Enjoyed morning coffee in the gazebo, grilled dinners in the screen porch, watching the moonrise over the lake while sitting at a campfire. All is right with the world when you are here with family. The dock worked fine for our 18 foot boat and the sandbar just off the point was fun for frisbee and other shallow water games while the youngest could play on the inner tube."
