  • Kathy and Tom

"We spent a week in early August at this lovely place! Outstanding view of the lake from the large cabin yard and deck. Four adults fit very comfortably with the 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. It was nice to have a boat landing on the property with the use of two piers for docking. The large sandy area between the docks would be an ideal spot for little ones to play in. We enjoyed floating on floats in this area as well. Especially enjoyed watching the eagle family and their young and the family of loons on various parts of the lake. We found that both the upper and lower lakes were relatively quiet. Just a beautiful area! All in all it was a great trip. We would highly recommend it."

  • Our favorite family vacation location

"Our family loves coming to this vacation home each summer. So much to do - swimming, skiing, fishing, tennis, walks, biking, basketball. The home is clean and comfortable and easily accommodates our large group of 19. The beach and lake are beautiful. A large yard around the home is great for outdoor yard games also."

  • Multi-Family Stay

"This house was above and beyond our needs. The lake is great for boating. Even though there was no sand beach at the property, a short skip across the lake to the sand bar off the island gave tons of swimming to our little ones in a nice shallow sand bottom. The yard is significantly bigger than the pictures showed. Inside the house, it was renovated as shown. The house was great for multi-family with the layout, as it was like having two houses in one, with bathrooms, bedrooms, and living space on each floor we could get our space from each other when needed. You felt secluded, even though you were only 10 minutes from town. Would stay again."

  • Rustic, not fancy, but comfortable

"First of all, want to make it clear we had a great time here and would come again. The house is spacious, lots of room, great yard on a terrific, quiet lake. Furnishings are not fancy, even worn, but comfortable. We were there with a bunch of kids and never felt threatened by the furnishings. No air conditioning, but not really necessary. No wi-fi: a blessing. Lots of peace; often the loudest sounds were the songs of the Eagles! Lake access is down a group of stairs, but they are easily navigated and the immediate swim area is very kid friendly. We rented a pontoon from Bubba's boats and it was there on the pier on arrival-glad we did, as the kids were tubing or swimming sunrise to sunset. There is a crummy old rowboat with one oar. That initiates the negatives-small stuff: one bathroom door doesn't lock. Lots of lighting doesn't work. Some of the carpeting is beat up. Several windows don't open. None of this affected our experience, but might bother others. Overall, a great vacation rental."
