  • Lots to do for people of all ages. A gem in the northwoods.

"I searched and searched to find a place to take our first extended family vacation in ten years. We were looking for a place that would accommodate a variety of ages, interests and would keep us busy without leaving the property. We found it here at Zaugg's Resort. I found this property through VRBO however their webpage http://zauggsresort.com/ and Facebook page reassured my decision on booking this property. We were looking for a place on a beautiful lake with a beach for the kids to swim and play yet also a place where the men could do some serious fishing. Zaugg's was exactly what we were looking for. A fishing boat with motor is included for the serious fishermen yet the beautiful, sandy beach occupied with a peddle boat, paddle boards, kayaks, canoes and a swim raft kept everyone busy for days. Beach tether ball, the tennis court and basketball court were also a big hit with our family. We didn't find time to hike the trails or play beach volleyball but it was available. The chalet had plenty of room for our group of 14. We were close enough to enjoy time together but yet had plenty of space to spread out. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The owners, Chuck and Pam, took great care of us and tended to any need we had. When we had an issue with our coffee pot, Pam showed up with a new one, talk about service. They took the time to make sure we knew all that was available to us. The view from our deck and our firepit area were breathtaking. Pam and Chuck have truly created a gem in the northwoods. They provided us a perfect setting for quality family time and we made memories that will last a lifetime. If you are at all considering this property I highly recommend that you take the time to check out their website and Facebook page."

  • New Years eve on Dam Lake

"It was a great experience for us up north to find some ice and snow for New years eve fun.Greg as a owner was helpful with additional info about area and some ice fishing location.House itself was good enough for few nights sleep.Steps away from Dam lake for our convenience unfortunately there was not enough ice to explore whole lake so we managed to get only 4 pikes 5 perch and 1 walleye right in the bay.Not far from St.Germain or Eagle river towns. We found some safe ice for snowmobiling on the lake."

  • Eagle River, Gorgeous Lake House Get-Away

"We spent a lovely long weekend here for a winter get away. It is a simply lovely, upscale house with appealing north-woods decor. The house has wonderful amenities, a beautiful updated kitchen, very comfortable beds and furniture, hi-tech entertainment system, and nice modern bathrooms. The house and location have a secluded appeal, but are close enough to the very cute town to run in for groceries or a bite to eat. It is located directly on Eagle Lake, with waterfront and a beautiful view. The owners were most helpful with directions, house instructions, and information about what to do and where to go in the area. They had a detailed binder of local attractions and restaurant menus. They maintain a cute visitor guest book at the house to record the highlights of your stay, and had many board games and activities for family evenings or bad weather days. The area is great for outdoor exploration, snowshoeing, cross country skiing and snowmobiling. We would love to come back when it is warm and partake in some of the summer lake fun, and what look to be amazing fishing opportunities!"

  • Family Vacation

"We had a great week of fishing. Grandsons kept busy catching bass, northern, bluegills and walleye. It was so nice walking out the back door to the pier and jumping on the pontoon boat. The house was clean and served our needs to a tee. Will consider doing this again."
