  • Excellent option for a large group

"We used both units for a large family gathering. It was fabulous! A beautiful, clean property loaded with amenities. We launched and docked a boat, and used the canoe and paddle boards. Spent time on the beach and made s'mores over the firepit (wood supplied). A large grassy yard adjacent to the lake is perfect for lawn games. Easy access to Hwy 70, but because the focus is on the lake side, no problem with the noise of a busy through way. We'd definitely rent this property again. Just a caution, though, that there are plenty of stairs if anyone has a mobility issue."

  • Perfect house for large family vacation

"Totally enjoyed our family vacation. The house was large enough to accommodate all 11 of us yet cozy. The resort next store offered so many fun activities for all ages. The house was very lean and also had games, cards, dvd player washer and dryer which was a necessity with a large group like ours. The home fit our needs perfectly and we had an amazing time. Would definitely chose this property again."

  • Nature Get Away

"This was our second stay and we loved it here. The staff is super friendly and helpful and you have everything you need here on site to get out on the lake (or on the ice). Close to town but really gives you a sense of being out in the woods. Great lake views, hiking nearby and fireplace for the evening enjoyment. We saw playful otters on the lake, watched an Eagle snatch a fish from the water not more than 30 feet away from our canoe. Trigs grocery in town has amazing food (if you choose to dine in) and a huge wine selection. The butcher shop right off of 45 gave us an amazing steak for the grill. It was also helpful to have a Blu-ray DVD player for our nights in (something you seem to rarely find even at more fancy resorts). We'd love to return"

  • Winter Wonderland!

"We stayed at Cranberry Castle between Christmas and New Year's with 5 families total and 11 children. We had a fabulous time! The house was spacious enough to fit our group and only 2 families had to share a bathroom. The kitchen is stocked with cutlery, pots and pans but bring your own spices, including salt and pepper. Our group brought extra toilet paper, paper towels and trash bags which was very helpful. The winter activities were perfect for our group. We skied at Brule mountain which was approximately 45 minutes away. We also went on a sleigh ride in Eagle River and went to the Nordic center for tubing and sledding in Minocqua. Brandon (the owner) and Roger (the caretaker) were extremely helpful to us and made sure all went smoothly with the rental house. We're hoping to come back next holiday!"
