  • Amazing!

"We came from Texas to host a family reunion and this house was beyond our expectation! Everything about this home is top of line and absolutely beautiful. The property is quiet and the lake was perfect for swimming. We couldn't believe how often we saw bald eagles. What a treat for us and our kids!"

  • Fantastic northwoods lake house!

"We loved our week at the lake here. The lake is incredibly clean and use of the boats really let us make the most of it. The house is marvelous with nice views and plenty of light. The host let us know everything we needed to be aware of and them some. Top notch."

  • Northwoods hideway with comforts of home

"My wife and I spent a week at Fawn Lake Hideaway, and we couldn't believe how quickly the time flew by. The three bedroom, two bathroom cabin is spacious yet cozy. Two screened porches made it possible to enjoy the beauty of the northwoods even on drippy days. Also helping in that regard was the lower level entertainment center. A large-screen TV, Direct TV and DVD/VCR player easily filled those idle moments. But it was the outdoors that make the cabin special. Surrounded by woods, the cabin looks out over Fawn Lake from a gorgeous vantage point. Walking down to the lake revealed two small docks and a fleet of kayaks and a row boat. The walk down might be a little too steep for young children and the elderly, but it is a beautiful setting even if you don't get your toes wet. A short walk down the private drive leads to Lumen Lake, which has the feel of a wilderness lake. We enjoyed using the pedal boat on that quiet lake, but kayaks are also available. Visits to either lake were regularly highlighted by appearances by bald eagles. By the time we went, the loons were gone for the season, but they too would be a fantastic wild touch. Inside the cabin, there was plenty of comfy furniture, a gorgeous gas fireplace, dishwasher and full laundry. This was anything but roughing it. Steve the manager was incredibly helpful, but always cautious about not being obtrusive. There were now guest staying at the resort when we were there, so we had both lakes to ourselves. We can't recommend the experience highly enough."

  • Another Wonderful Week At Four Sisters Point

"This summer we were fortunate to spend another great week at Lake Katherine. It was our 4th trip to Mary's cabin, although the last time was in 2008 (too long ago). Our family has grown since then, so our son's families split up the week with grandma and grandpa. The weather was great, and we spent a lot of time on the lake, boating and fishing. Also spent a lot of time by the dock, with the kids having a great time in the water. Lots of campfires, both in the firepit by the lake and the firepit on the large, expanded deck. Because the property is so large, at times it seemed that we had the lake to ourselves. There were a couple of trips to Minocqua to enjoy the tourist things and a "dinner out" for grandma and grandpa at one of the great Northwoods restaurants. We have been at the cabin in June, July, and August and they have all been great stays. We truly enjoy the privacy at Four Sisters Point and how Mary has been able to keep the quaint "Up North" cabin atmosphere while adding the modern things that we enjoy. We're looking forward to future stays. Marge & Lanny Peterson Rothschild (Wausau), WI"
