  • A great retreat for the family

"My family of three and my sister-in-law's family of six shared Krings' retreat over Labor Day weekend. We had more than enough room, everything we needed for cooking, comfy beds, and great space to play games or just chill. The rooms we comfortable and we liked the layout with two rooms near the kitchen side of the house, the lofted area with four beds, and the two rooms off the other side of the house. Everyone felt comfortable with their own space. Thank you, Krings, for such a lovely, well-maintained home."

  • Largest Cabin I Ever Saw

"This past week my three adult children and their spouses plus one college age granddaughter had a wonderful time at "The Cabin". It is well laid out and so roomy the people who need alone time could have it. We used the fire pit every night and it was super with the permanent seating. When the family left we had some friends who arrived. They enjoyed it as much as the family. We couldn't do the bonfire at night so did it at cocktail hour. Was great then too. We also enjoyed Marli's Pub and Grill in Sayner. Went there twice for dinners. Fishing wasn't the best but two of us each caught a bass measuring 18 - 20". It was the biggest fish I ever caught. The cabin is exceptional regarding floor plan, cleanliness and furnishings plus Larry(the owner) is always there with an immediate response to all questions. My daughter had a great description of the location. She said when you get to the middle of nowhere you aren't quite there yet. Go a little bit further and you will love it. Dona M."

  • Great place to stay!

"The cabin is located conveniently between Minocqua and Eagle River and was very easy to find with the directions provided. St Germain is less than a mile away and has everything you might need for your stay. Tom was easy to work with and responded quickly to all of my e-mails. We stayed at Deer Ridge Cabin during the first week in October 2016 and arrived to find the cabin to be the perfect example of what a north woods cabin should be. It had all modern conveniences yet had a rustic north woods feel about it that was very warm and inviting. The interior and exterior of the cabin and grounds have been nicely maintained and the interior of the cabin was simply spotless. My compliments to the cleaning crew! During our days we drove around the area looking at the fall colors and returned in the evening to relax and watch the local deer herd who stopped by several times a day/night to see if there happened to be more apples laying around. We also did a little fishing off of the pier which was fun. We look forward to visiting again!"

  • AMAZING LAKE VIEWS

"Our family enjoyed our week at The Station at Plum Lake very much and would highly recommend it! We loved the panoramic view of the lake from almost every room, especially the kitchen-dining-great room area. That room had plenty of room for 11 of us and two dogs. The weather was so great, we didn't even spend time in the lower level that had a bar, pool table, ping pong table, and more. When we weren't in or on the lake kayaking, biking, hiking, fishing, sunset cruising, paddle boarding or just playing in the sandy bottom shoreline, we were on the large deck enjoying the views and lake breeze. We also enjoyed the fire pit almost every night and couldn't get enough of the sound of the loons. The eagles would soar right above the deck and dive for fish in front of the pier - a real treat to watch! Debra was so great to work with when we planned our trip - and we appreciated that very much! We also enjoyed Wildwood Wildlife Park in Minocqua and dinner at The Thirsty Whale - both family favorites in the Northwoods."
