  • Beautiful place - perfect for our group!

"We had a wonderful time at the lodge! It fit our group of 11 very comfortably, with extra rooms to spare. The game room was so much fun - we played ping pong, foosball and pool and listened to the juke box. The kitchen had ample space for cooking big meals, and the dining area was great to set out a buffet and everyone have enough room to enjoy their meal. The lake was beautiful as well! The only downside was that the lodge isn't able to get wifi access, each room didn't have an individual TV (something an employee group may be looking for, as you would have in a hotel), and the cell phone service is hit or miss. This did force us to enjoy each others' company more, but an improvement that may make the stay for an employee group better. Overall, the lodge was very clean, had more than enough plates, glasses, and cooking equipment to feed a large group. Beds were comfortable. Tim was great to work with and we look forward to coming back next April!"

  • Winter Wonderland

"2 families with kids - a wonderful winter weekend, cross-country skiing. The Orchard House is lovely - the kitchen was well-equipped, and despite below-zero nights, we were all warm and snug. Skiing in the Ridges Sanctuary (just down the road) was about as good as it gets, and with a few nearby open eateries, we ate, skied, sledded, ate some more slept soundly and enjoyed our friends as well as is possible. Thanks for restoring (and tastefully upgrading) this beautiful old house. A very nice weekend."

  • All the comforts of home!!!

"This year is the third time we've stayed at this cabin. It is very quiet, stress free and relaxing!!! The cabin has everything you need, just like home!!!! I love the dinnerware and have been searching for it on line since I've been home. Great TV and reception too. Pickerel Lake and Crane Lake both provide abundant pan fish. You don't have to wait very long before they begin to bite. Always love hearing and seeing the loons and watching the eagles. This year we watched a deer with her two baby fawn every day. If you're looking for a quiet, secluded place to sit back, relax and enjoy nature, this is by far the place to go!!! Thank you for sharing the cabin and memorable experience!!!!"

  • family vacation

"We spent a week in this beautiful home with our ten family members. Don't be fooled when you first see it because it doesn't look very big from the outside. We all had plenty of room to relax, enjoy family meals, and all have our own quiet space. The house has a fantastic kitchen with lots of room and supplied with everything we needed, as we did most of our meals there. The fire pit in the back yard gave several nights of fun. The beds were very comfortable, though a bit softer than we are used to. The location was great and just a short distance from fun activities. We also did family pictures with Heidi Hodges Photography and were very pleased with her services- reasonable, prompt, and personal. Jim and Torrie were very efficient to work with and we would definitely rent their home again if we return to Door County"
