  • A Great Getaway

"Fawn Lake Hideaway is perfectly named, hidden among the trees in a very quiet, peaceful setting. It is surrounded by woods with no one else in sight. The lake was mirror-calm during our stay and we were able to get amazing photographs. Kayaking the lake was so relaxing and peaceful, the only sound was us and nature. There are miles of State Forest next to the property, with old logging roads that were wonderful for hiking. There is another lake a short walk away, and it's very beautiful and quiet as well. We appreciated having a paddleboat and kayaks available for us to use on that lake also. The cabin is nicely kept, roomy, and the beds very comfortable. It had everything we needed, and the kitchen was well stocked with cooking pots and utensils. They do ask that you do a couple of tasks before leaving (wash towels and sheets, sweep up what you dropped/tracked in). Outdoors, we loved the spacious deck, screened in porch, and 3-season room. There is a fire pit to use, and firewood is provided for a nominal fee. Chairs are provided so you don't need to bring lawn chairs. We love to hike so in addition to walks around the cabin, we hiked the nearby Bearskin rail to trail paths, the Northern Highland-American Legion State Forest (30 min. away), and Copper Falls State Park (1 hr 45 min. away). We loved Fawn Lake Hideaway, and would love to return. Steve, the property manager, was great to work with and answered any questions we had quickly and we couldn't have asked for a better experience."

  • Wonderful getaway

"My husband and I rented the Eagles Nest to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary and had the most amazing time. The rental is so much cuter than the pictures portray. You are in this cozy cabin with nature all around you, and all the privacy and peace that you could ever want! We spent our mornings with a cup of coffee listening to the loons and our evenings by the amazing fire pit! What more could you ask for on an anniversary getaway? The homeowners were there during our stay and they are the nicest people. They suggested a great place to eat fish fry (Bootleggers) and personally showed us some of the nearby snowmobile trails. It was like being in a B&B, but with more privacy! Needless to say we will be coming up this winter to snowmobile, and again next year to relax."

  • Awesome Week!

"Shared this cottage with another couple. We all felt so at home and comfortable here. The smell of pines is amazing and the location at the end of a private drive is so peaceful and secluded. We had everything we needed and more. Great bike trail close to cottage, lots of good supper clubs in the area. Nice lake for kayaking and for sitting at the end of the dock to watch sunsets and one storm come in. Had eagle, osprey, loons, and frog sightings! Tomahawk is a small town, but had everything we needed during our stay. Kevin and Tracey were so great to work with! Loved the outdoor shower!! We hated to leave, but hope to return next year!"

  • Beautiful place - perfect for our group!

"We had a wonderful time at the lodge! It fit our group of 11 very comfortably, with extra rooms to spare. The game room was so much fun - we played ping pong, foosball and pool and listened to the juke box. The kitchen had ample space for cooking big meals, and the dining area was great to set out a buffet and everyone have enough room to enjoy their meal. The lake was beautiful as well! The only downside was that the lodge isn't able to get wifi access, each room didn't have an individual TV (something an employee group may be looking for, as you would have in a hotel), and the cell phone service is hit or miss. This did force us to enjoy each others' company more, but an improvement that may make the stay for an employee group better. Overall, the lodge was very clean, had more than enough plates, glasses, and cooking equipment to feed a large group. Beds were comfortable. Tim was great to work with and we look forward to coming back next April!"
