  • Awesome Place

"Be-At-Ease was one of the best places our group has ever vacationed at. The cabin décor along with the incredible view of the lake made for a perfect atmosphere . Extremely quiet and peaceful in the late evening. The campfires were a great way to wind down the day and catch the great sunsets and early stars. We had a few periods of rain and made use of the game room playing ping pong and foosball. That was a very nice perk that other rentals did not have. Great golf course close by in Cumberland as well. We didn't want the trip to end and will definitely be coming back next year to enjoy another awesome vacation."

  • Impeccable

"We enjoyed our stay at Tom and Karen's "cabin", which is located a short jaunt by boat down the Teal River from Teal Lake (trim the motor!). Their home is meticululous in detail and very tastefully appointed, to the point that you will want (need) to kick off your shoes or boots at the door. We stayed at the home for a spring family retreat and used it as a base camp for fishing and day-trips around Hayward, back-country trail exploration within Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest (watch for bear and elk!) and as a place to relax. Both Teal Lake and Lost Land Land Lake are quite scenic and offer a variety of habitat and structure for very good fishing. We took Karen's advice and had a shore lunch under the pines on one of the islands. A few things to know in advance- if mobility is a consideration, the path from the house to the dock is a short walk over slightly uneven terrain, so watch your step. We also learned that frying fish and bacon is not allowed the house. That worked fine for us because the large deck is well-furnished and set on the second level so you walk-out into the tree canopy, which made cooking breakfast outside was a plus. Overall, the setting was very private and the beautiful quilts and taxidermy displayed within the house were an added surprise. One of the better VRBO properties I've stayed at in the US."

  • Amazing weekend

"We rented this cabin for a bachelor party weekend, and it was PERFECT for our party of 14! The deck was our home for most of the weekend with enough space for hanging out, playing bean bags, hot tubbing, a card table, and lots of food all the the same time. The weather was perfect the entire weekend. The owner was great to deal with and more than accommodating. Everything we needed, all in one location. A GREAT guys weekend. Could not have asked for a better place."

  • Incredible Property!

"Everything from the main cabin, to the bunkhouse, to the waterfront is equisite. John (owner) was extremely accomodating and accessable and made us feel very much at home. We had a large family gathering (15 people ranging from 11 - 82) and everyone had a fantastic time. There was plenty to do for everyone. Water activities were a big hit, but we also enjoyed going into Hayward and Stone Lake for short excursions and dinner. We've been staying at this property for 6+ years in both summer and autumn (which is breathtaking beautiful) and never had anything short of a fantastic experience. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a first class experience."
