  • Love this Villa!

"Just finished up another year of fun in Hayward, at Scott and Adu's wonderful Villa! This is our 3rd stay and 41 years of our group of girlfriend's getting away together for a long weekend. This year, we took a vote and decided to make this our permanent location! This beautiful Villa has so much room to spread out, a great kitchen, stocked with everything you need (and 2 coffee pots), a huge dining room table (great for dining and playing board games), 3 bathrooms, lots of beds, beautiful artwork, a lovely sunroom, a deck and fire pit--and it's within walking distance to Main Street for shopping or dining out and to the golf course! I would recommend this Villa for anyone staying in Hayward. See you next year!"

  • Perfect place to focus and unwind

"I came here for one week to work uninterrupted on a project, while being surrounded by beautiful nature. I finished 70 small drawings in one week, and every single day I saw bald eagles circling over the lake. I had a dinner party for some artist friends over the weekend who where blown away by the beauty of the setting. It was really easy to host a dinner party in their large kitchen area with an Island, much nicer than my tiny kitchen at home in the city. I plan to come back every year. The beauty of the lake and the eagles made it as relaxing as a vacation, even though I was working most of the time. I would recommend this cabin HIGHLY!!!!!!for artists or writers, or anyone looking for a peaceful place in the beauty of nature. I love it there."

  • Beautiful Place

"This is such a nice property with a huge yard and lots of shoreline. The lake is gorgeous and peaceful. The owner obviously takes great pride in his property as everything is well appointed, updated and maintained. It was a great weekend and I would highly recommend! Be sure to visit Louie's for a drink and a cocktail right across the lake! It's a bit of a drive for supplies (about 15 minutes) so plan ahead but, I personally prefer a less-busy and quiet area when getting away from it all. The property owners on the lake have even maintained a spot on an island where you can pull up your boat and get out, cook, etcetera. It's very nice!!"

  • Just Lovely!

"We had a lovely stay at Hipp's Hideaway! The property is beautiful, as described. The lake is very quiet in terms of boat traffic. Almost none. We heard the loons regularly. Saw them a few times, too. We all enjoyed swimming in the lake, even our 4-year-old grandson. And the paddling was very nice, both on the lake to the dam, through the Flowage to other lakes, and even down the Chief River. The local roads were very conducive to walking, pushing a stroller, and biking. The home is very conducive to a family gathering, with a nice open kitchen/dining/living space. It was easy to prepare meals, play games, and just relax. We do hope to return to Hipp's Hideaway!"
