  • Excellent

"Went there for New Years Eve with a group of 10 people. The owner is very polite and helpful. The house itself was in a very good condition, we found there all we needed - sheets, blankets, dishes, etc. The owner even provided us with air matresses for 2 extra adults. I would definitely recommend renting to anyone."

  • Welcoming and quiet

"The home is decorated to make it feel so warm and inviting, it is a beautiful home. When you are up in bed in the loft and the house lights are all off, look out the loft windows, you feel like you are outside. The stars are spectacular!!! You are supplied with everything you will need except fire wood for the fire pits and beach towels. Which was not a big deal to bring our own beach towels and get our own fire wood. The 2nd refrigerator was nice to have. It is such a quiet and secluded location. The kids swam almost every day, they loved the floating dock. They also loved catching pan fish off of the docks. We did not want to leave!!!! We will return!!!"

  • Relaxing Getaway

"The cabin was a very quaint, small, perfect place to stay for a getaway for two people. There are two rooms with double beds. I think it would have felt crowded with more than 2 people. Our original reason for the getaway was to see Copper Falls, which we did, and was beautiful. What we enjoyed more about the trip was Morgan Falls, only a few miles from the cabin. There is no cell service, so make sure you have addresses before getting to the cabin to all the places you want to go, and a GPS with you to populate the addresses in. There are a lot of gravel roads when you get to the area, so be prepared for a dirty car. All appliances were in working order, the listing was as described, and I would go back to the area. The rate of the cabin was good. If we went with something pricier, the furnishings would have been more updated and modern, but who cares? This was the perfect little place. The rating would have been a 5, but the piece that was missing is the key that was provided for the cabin did not work to the front entrance. We did not try the key on any of the other outside doors. The door was unlocked when we got there and the key was inside. I wasn't too worried about anyone taking any belongings, but it was something to be aware of."

  • Love it!!! love it!!

"We cannot say enough about Ron Schluenz and his beautiful cabin. How blessed to be 2000 miles from home in Roaring River NC and feel like you are returning home when we reach the cabin. This has been our second year staying at Tall Pines and each year is better. Ron is every bit as kind and gracious as you can see from the other reviews and more. Cabin is clean neat and comfortable with everything you need. Good washer and dryer and tv but you wont need the TV etc...there is too much of a beautiful view of Meder Lake to waste time being a couch potato! Cannot wait to come back home in October of 2017. Keith and Nancy Jolley Roaring River NC."
