  • Absolutely Fantastic!

"This was our first time staying at "Our Great Escape" and we can't wait to book again next year! This place is everything as advertised and more. The family memories we created during our stay are truly priceless. The home is located in a breathtakingly beautiful National Forest. We "ooed" and "ahhd" on the drive on upper A to get there. My 6 year old daughter thought it looked like scenery right out of a fairy tale. Upon arrival, we were just blown away by the home and the lake! The place is well maintained and the layout is phenomenal for large groups! We had a total of 10 people staying there and it never seemed crowded. The kitchen is a dream for a groups of any size and we shared family meals every day on the large dining table. The screened in porch was the adult favorite for morning coffees and afternoon/evening cocktails. The kids loved the beach and dock for swimming and fishing. We were lucky to be staying here during a solar storm and were able to view the Northern Lights! The best seat in the house for watching the Northern skies? The bench at the end of the dock of course! A truly remarkable moment that everyone is still talking about. I highly recommend renting a pontoon from Wilson Bay Lodge. We used it to fish, swim, and to just "tootle" around the lake. We enjoyed going down the thoroughfare to Teal Lake and the fishing on Teal was just as great as our Lost Land Lake! We cannot wait for next year and can't thank Rob enough for sharing this gem with us!"

  • Great week at the cabin!

"We had a great week at John and Judy's cabin! It was clean and well maintained. There was lots to do! We used the pontoon to go fishing and tool around the lake. The lake was clean and the kids (ages 14, 5 and 3) really enjoyed swimming and playing in the sand near the shore (there was even sand toys for the kids to use). We also went canoeing and kayaking. We had fires at night and enjoyed grilling on the two Webers that were there. We really appreciated the sunroom (has 2 twin beds), which is connected to the master bedroom. It was a nice, quiet place for our 3 year old to rest in the afternoons. For a day trip, we went to Amnicon Falls State Park (which is about 30 minutes north). It was beautiful! We really enjoyed hiking and exploring along the river. Thanks so much for allowing us to relax and make lots of memories at your cabin! We appreciate it very much! Nick and Jenny"

  • Wonderful 2 night stay!

"This relaxing cabin on Soo Lake was everything described! Very secluded - no neighbors. No cell phone or internet made it a very restful and worry free stay. Jerry checked in in quick and showed us everything. We had a fire every night, used the paddle boat as well as the Jon boat to fish and explore. We caught Crappies , Bass, Blue Gill, and Perch. Mainly we got a tan and read the afternoons away. Did a round of golf at Westview Country Club close by - very pretty and reasonable course. Had a good fish dinner at the Harbor View restaurant. Ann joined Jerry to check us out and both are wonderful, friendly people. All and all a very romantic get away - just what my wife and I wanted. Hope to get up there again when our busy schedules allow. Thanks for a GREAT time."
