  • Bill and the guys fishing trip

"Group of 9-14 every year. We go some place different every year and this was the best trip we have had in 10 years. From the awesome, clean, spacious, well equipped house to the great fishing in the area. Owners were great, everything you could ask for. If your going to the area and have a large group this is the place. Very secluded. We were greeted with some awesome cookies that didn't see the next morning. That would be my only complaint maybe offer an endless cookie plate, haha. just kidding. Thanks again for all your help. Awsome ,awsome"

  • A Place Where Even Postcards Are Envious!

"Jacki & Christian, thank you for opening your beautiful log lake home to vacationers. It was absolutely perfect in every way. A place where the rustic Northwood's meet modern day conveniences, coupled with a location on the lake that was postcard perfect. Our family enjoyed everything your cabin/home offered. We fished daily, played corn-hole (bean bag toss to us older folks...haha), canoed and sat around the bonfire enjoying the starry moonlit evenings, while reminiscing. It was the perfect setting to catch up with our adult daughters and have my elderly, 90 year old father-in-law stroll and take in the beautiful scenery of your lakeside grounds. He was a fisherman in his youth and you could see in his eyes he was remembering those youth-filled days, when we took him out on the water. Your friend Jackie was an absolute sweetheart. And her homemade maple syrup was delicious. Thank you for leaving a bottle of her tasty syrup as a welcoming gift for us to enjoy. We made French toast every morning and Jackie's syrup made it a special treat for the "kids." Through out the years my wife and I have periodically rented lakeside cabins, but your lake home is, by far,...the best in every way imaginable. I am so happy we discovered it. Thanks again for offering such a special inspiring place, where memories are created. Warmest wishes, Tim and Indra"

  • Perfect place for our family !

"The place is perfect for our family - the size of the house gives everyone enough space to call home for the week. We were there for the century rain and even though we couldn't ski during the week, there was the trampoline to play on and pool to play during the rainy days. We brought our four wheelers and the trails in the area are fabulous! We have been coming there for the last few years and our kids and grandkids consider it home for that week. Thank you Kim and Kent for making the place perfect for our family ! Terry and Bob Berg and Family"

  • Great stay, great owners, great trip

"Review #14907116 “Little Yellow Lake 'Up North Feel!'” Great stay, great owners, great trip ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our family of 6 stayed here for almost two weeks. We wish we could have stayed longer. We traveled throughout the county and to Minneapolis, (an easy trip), It was a wonderful experience. There were so many things to do and so many places to visit, yet we all would have been happy never leaving the property. The owner is wonderful and did the very best to make us comfortable like it was our home and that is how we felt. We always drove down the paved drive to the lakeshore due to our handicapped child, but our boys had no problem walking. The cabin is so comfortable and convenient, we were pleased. The screen room was a blessing to the smokers in our family and the gratis Pontoon boat was exceptional. I wish the Yellow lake association would find a way to modify the bridge to allow a connection from Little to Big Yellow lake. Nevertheless, the whole experience was delightful. We highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a get-away vacation or the Northwoods experience. I can't really think of anything that this cabin doesn't have to accomodate a nice stay. An internet connection/wifi would ave been desirable. Our family wanted to see everything the area had to offer and had to use our cell phones to access Google. I guess my only negative would be the lack of internet service, but depending upon your vacation desires, that may be a blessing. My recommendation is to stay here as long as you can afford because from our experience, a short time seems seriously inadequate. The owners are more than willing to make your stay comfortable and have personnel in the area to assist with any issues you have. We would be very happy to return whenever finances allow. D.
