  • Great simple and rustic cabin in a beautiful area!

"We had a great stay in this rustic cabin! Our boys were in awe when they walked in, both saying "whoaaa!" when they saw the inside. The wildlife display is a good example of the history of the cabin. The stone fireplace is beautiful and the accommodations very comfortable. The cabin has a very good feel to it, we all felt relaxed and at peace while we were there. The view is lovely and it was incredibly peaceful. I very much enjoyed coffee on the back deck in the morning. We loved going over to Red's, everyone was very friendly and the food was great. We also rented a kayak for a day, which was very convenient and fun, they were very accommodating and made this very easy. We loved looking for the elk and hiking at Little Falls Slough Gundy was one of our favorites. We can't wait to go back to this cabin! Thank you Josh and Kaisa for sharing this cabin. • A beauty of a place in a secluded locale.

"My son-in-law said it best, " You found a high-end cottage deep in the woods" The home is clean, well appointed and comfortable. Many features include the outdoor patio with the gas (and Smokey Joe for the charcoal possessed) washer & dryer (which we didn't use). A fire pit right on the river was a great place to roast hot dogs and smores and share a few beers and stories. We paddled the canoe and one of the kayaks to the best of our ability and had a ball. My 9 month old granddaughter toddled all over the place and remained surprisingly clean since the condition of the cottage was spotless. We are all cooks and beware that the stove is glass top electric and takes some getting used to but we managed. The best feature, in my opinon, is the lighting. The home has about 70% of its wall space comprised of windows which let in tons of light. On the one cloudy afternoon we had the track lighting lit up the place to promote a cheerful feeling...nothing can be so mood killing as the north wood in the rain."

  • Peaceful and Serene

"3 adult couples rented from Frank for 4 days recently. Upon arriving, we were amazed at how well the pictures on VRBO depicted the actual property. If you are looking for a quiet setting in the woods, with full lake access a short distance away, this is the place. The cleanliness was impeccable, my hats off to the cleaning lady. The home itself is very spacious, and well equipped. The only thing we needed to purchase was a plastic pitcher to make sure we had enough lemonade made up to mix with our vodka. The front porch was very relaxing and comfortable, and the fire pit was clean and inviting in the evenings. We also rented a pontoon for the day from Treeland resorts, they were very reasonable, and accommodating, and would also recommend them. I would highly recommend this rental for family gatherings, and or several couples to enjoy a retreat. Thanks to our host for being very informative and gracious. We will most likely be back."
