  • Amazing property!

"We recently stayed a week at this amazing property. The pictures do not do justice to how beautiful the lake and grounds are. The house was larger than we expected and very well appointed. Absolutely no complaints! Our kids (6, 8 and 11) had a blast fishing and swimming off the dock. The boat was a fantastic add on and my husband enjoyed early morning fishing every day. My favorite part of the property was the lakefront deck. I did yoga every day on the deck as the sun came up and then enjoyed a book and coffee until the kids woke up. We saw deer and eagles and heard a variety of birds. Our dog loved roaming the huge expanse of yard and splashing in the water after frogs. It was truly a wonderful stay. The owners were a pleasure to work with and were very quick to return our deposit. We will definitely be back."

  • Beautiful, cozy, perfect home! We loved our stay there and would love to return.

"The screened-in porch was the perfect spot to begin and end each day. My daughter loved the loft sleeping area, and everyone enjoyed gathering at the kitchen table. It was a great summer retreat!"

  • Absolutely Fantastic!

"This was our first time staying at "Our Great Escape" and we can't wait to book again next year! This place is everything as advertised and more. The family memories we created during our stay are truly priceless. The home is located in a breathtakingly beautiful National Forest. We "ooed" and "ahhd" on the drive on upper A to get there. My 6 year old daughter thought it looked like scenery right out of a fairy tale. Upon arrival, we were just blown away by the home and the lake! The place is well maintained and the layout is phenomenal for large groups! We had a total of 10 people staying there and it never seemed crowded. The kitchen is a dream for a groups of any size and we shared family meals every day on the large dining table. The screened in porch was the adult favorite for morning coffees and afternoon/evening cocktails. The kids loved the beach and dock for swimming and fishing. We were lucky to be staying here during a solar storm and were able to view the Northern Lights! The best seat in the house for watching the Northern skies? The bench at the end of the dock of course! A truly remarkable moment that everyone is still talking about. I highly recommend renting a pontoon from Wilson Bay Lodge. We used it to fish, swim, and to just "tootle" around the lake. We enjoyed going down the thoroughfare to Teal Lake and the fishing on Teal was just as great as our Lost Land Lake! We cannot wait for next year and can't thank Rob enough for sharing this gem with us!"

  • Good trip

"We had a great time at lake winter, the cabin was clean and provided everything we needed for our stay. It was unseasonably hot so it did get warm in the cabin during the day but cooled off during the evening. We caught most of the fish right off the dock. The lake was quiet with minimal traffic. The property is secluded and the neighbors on either side were not there our entire stay."
