  • Winter get away - outstanding!!!

"We were looking for a spot where my whole family could get away and relax. I had heard a lot of good things about this house so my expectations were pretty high. The "cabin" exceeded my expectations. It is extremely clean and well laid out. The owners have very thoughtfully made sure that you have everything to make your stay enjoyable. We went in the in winter time so we could not swim or anything but we did enjoy a nice skating rink they had plowed for us on the lake as well as some ice fishing. They had wireless internet and dish service so we could get a technology fix if we wanted it but most of the time we just relaxed and enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. The WIFI is password protected so if you want to keep the password from your teenagers you can. ;) The first morning we were there we woke up to the kids outside in 20 degree weather wearing PJ's and boots, they wanted to take a picture of beautiful sunrise. Bottom line: Great Place. Great people. Very Clean. Very well supplied. If your going to stay in the New Auburn area, it is a no brainer to stay here."

  • Great Family Weekend

"We had a great family weekend here! There was plenty of room for everyone, the kitchen was well stocked, and Richard even had plenty of firewood waiting for us. This cabin had plenty of family activities to enjoy: kayaks, paddle board, volleyball, horseshoes, etc. We brought board games and cards but the cabin had some already waiting for us. Richard was very accommodating to ensure we had a great weekend experience with family. The fishing off the dock was excellent and the grandkids spent most of their time there from sunrise until sunset. Cabin was very easy to find and although other cabins are nearby it still felt private. Bonfire by the lake was a wonderful treat. Would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a getaway with family."

  • A charming rental home with a fun nature hike to the lake.

"The kitchen had everything we needed to cook. We enjoyed the old utensils and glassware. Dinner in the dining room was a highlight. Time away from TV and electronics and playing games. Our children loved the nature hike down to the lake. Definitely got our exercise in each day! They caught a lot of fish out in our kayaks and on the boat we rented. The bakery, library, and city beach are in walking distance. An added touch in the house that would be nice is a washer/dryer and another bathroom on the main level with dirty little feet from outside. There is no lake view, which we missed, but knew that when we rented it. It was a really quaint home on the lake with enough space for our family of 6! Loved the experience."
