  • Great place

"We stayed here for a long weekend for a family reunion. The house was great. There was lots of space with the two living areas. It was very clean and they had everything we needed, including a crock pot. There is a great wrap around deck which was lovely to sit on to drink your coffee and hear the birds or sit star gazing at night. It was very secluded and quiet. While its not on the lake, it does have a dock a short walk away. We would love to come back again."

  • Great house!

"We just got back from staying in this house for a week! This house is so clean upon arrival and fit our group's needs extremely well. The kitchen was well equipped with every thing you need! The owner is very quick with his responses and was very willing to answer all of my questions since we had not stayed at this house before! There is a boat lift included which was ideal since we always bring out own boat. You are staying right on Little Round Lake, but you have access to Round Lake by going under the bridge that connects the two lakes. We boated over to DJ's Dock for dinner one night and found the food to be very good. We had good fishing on both of the lakes and by the dock. We would definitely stay at this house again!"

  • An anniversary to remember

"My husband & I just returned from a week at this cottage, where we celebrated 14 yrs of marriage. We got lucky w/the weather, having sunshine & upper 70's-low 80's on 4 of the days. Thank you Mother Nature! The cottage itself was perfect for the 2 of us having 2 bedrooms & 1 bath. There is carpeting in the bedrooms only. Heat is supplied by gas fireplace in the living room (+kitchen & dining room - all 1 room) and electric heating elements on the walls in the bedrooms & bathroom. I found the cottage to be cold as it does not get much direct sunlight so I utilized the heat & it worked well. The cottage has cable tv (+dvd/blue ray player) & wifi which allowed for us to stay current w/family going ons & work. The kitchen is equipped w/most essentials & the fridge is full sized. We cooked over half our meals at the cottage & if I'd give any suggestions (& it's minor) it would be to have some smaller plates & to replace the plastic plates/bowls. The mud room is spacious & is an excellent place to store coats, coolers & for doing laundry of course. The pier is very close to the house & it has 4 bouys so you can pull your boat right up w/little to no set up depending on your boat size. You can walk into the water & wade around but bring your aqua socks as there are snails blanketing the bottom. The water was cool in May but it was 80 degrees so I went in up to my thighs & did some casting. Caught a lovely crappie that day. If fishing is your thing then I'd recommend Nelson Lake. Watch for tree stumps & limbs - your navigation system should have them detailed. Other than that it's a beautiful lake full of crappie, blue gill, walleye & my fav large mouth bass. I caught plenty and released them all so you can take a shot at catching them when you get here! Thank you Joy for sharing your cottage w/us and for getting that extension cord so we could charge our boat motors. Really appreciated that. We'll be back!"
