  • Great time at the time warp!

"We stayed at the lodge for our company yearly getaway. The lodge was truly amazing in the aspect that it is left nearly untouched from the 60's-70's era. The décor is perfect, the lodge was clean, and the amenities were very inviting. The lodge slept 20 adults comfortably, the kitchen allowed us to cook large meals for the group, and the big living room was perfect for group games. We will definitely be back to stay again!"

  • Perfect for a Fall golf trip to Hayward

"The Woods Edge Retreat delivered exactly what was promised. It was clean, perfectly located and a relaxing get-away after a day on the golf course. The owners, Sue and Bob were very accommodating when one of our party thought it was a little chilly in the cabin, they raised the temperature in the unit while we were out. We'll definitely consider the Woods Edge Retreat for our next trip to Hayward."

  • Best owner I have ever dealt with

"I have been doing VRBO for ten years or so and we have had many wonderful experiences, however I have never dealt with an owner who was more responsive, thorough and kind. Anyone who chooses to rent this cabin will be helped along every step of the way and impressed with the excellent customer service!"

  • Enjoyable spot for extended family group

"Our group of grandparents, parents and 6 kids (ages 10-17) had a very good week here. Kids were in the water a lot. We brought 2 kayaks and a stand up paddle board, so along with the kayaks and canoe we had a well used flotilla. Appreciated the space in the house and bunk house, so that when we spent time inside there was room for everyone to be comfortable. Love the big screen porch. It offers plenty of seating for group meals. Spent quite a bit of time in the lake area behind our beach admiring the lillies and other water flowers, and spotting birds. Our family prefers quiet lakes, and this property suited us well. The home is well provisioned for a large group. The owners are pleasant and accommodating. We preferred the grocery store in Webster to the one in Danbury. Awesome restaurant in Siren called Tesora if you are looking for a special meal."
