  • BadgerVB

"The Victorian of Cambridge was great. We rented the whole house and it was perfect for my family that flew in from all areas of the country to watch the Wisconsin Badger volleyball team beat the Wolverines and the Spartans. We had a great Sunday making an early Thanksgiving meal for our daughter and her roommates. We would stay there again if we get the chance. Homey, great layout, comfy beds, great decor, and an easy drive to Madison."

  • Fishing/R & R

"This is the fifth time my fishing buddy and I have stayed at Crown Point. It just does not get any better. Frank is always the best host and the accommodations are clean ,well kept and always above par. My buddy and I have been fishing together for 40 years and have had all kinds of experiences but Crown Point is never a disappointment All fishing trips are great the catch varies."

  • Quiet, Comfortable, and Slightly inconvenient all at the same time.

"I was in Madison for a week on business with EPIC in Verona and my husband came along for the ride. Initially we were not impressed when we opened the door to the apartment. I'm unsure if it hadn't been used in awhile but the heat mixed with unpleasant aromas of the house were not inviting. I ended up buying candles, Febreeze, and Air Effects to help stifle the smell. After dealing with the initial aroma, we opened windows, and tried to air the place out. We also used the fan which provided some air circulation. The kitchen was awesome for two. We had everything we needed and did most of our dining there. It really is an excellent location for those wanting to explore the ins and outs of Madison. Short drive to most attractions. My biggest issue was with the parking situation. You are not allowed to park in the driveway and although the parking on the street is free - I think it would be helpful if the owner described the parking situation a little more clearly. Kids from the high school park on this street for school, and you are only allowed to park on one side of the road between 7 and 4. On two occasions, I had to park two blocks away from the apartment. I don't believe this is factually described in the listing. Along with the other reviews, I would comment that the shower is slightly treacherous. Really high sides and very low ceiling. My 6'1" husband had a difficult time. Another thing to consider is how many outlets you may need in the bedroom and bathroom. We were charging our phones in the kitchen and I was also blow drying my hair in the kitchen. If interior design is important to you, as it is me, you may find that the photos are slightly deceiving. There are no plants, rugs, or decorative pillows on the sofa. The main rug in the living room, to my standards, is heavily stained. All of that being said, I WOULD return on my own. I hope that this review is helpful to potential renters as well as the property owner. Happy Travels!"

  • Excellent Getaway!!

"Wonderful time spent in this lovely home. From the moment you walk in the front door you get a relaxing and cozy feeling! The weather was chilly but that made it even better sitting in front of the warm living room fireplace! We even had a bonfire outside in the firepit one night! The view........Absolutely Beautiful!!!!!!! Endless view of the lake!!! Would be great to visit in the warmer months to fish! So close to the water! The kitchen was gorgeous and had everything we needed to prepare our Thanksgiving meal. Owners are extremely easy to work with and had everything ready for our stay! We did venture out a couple times. Once to the Anchor Inn, which had the best burger ever! And to a grocery store, both very easy to get to. Would definitely come back for another stay! Thanks for letting us stay in your wonderful home!!!!!"
