  • Beautiful location

"We loved this condo. The overall facility has a lot of amenities: a very nice, child friendly large pool area, a nice sandy beach with entrance to Lake Delton, a game room and small snack place in the main office. The condo itself is well appointed. We love having a washer and dryer available especially in a place that has pool/lake access so we can wash and dry our suits and beach towels before packing. The beds are comfortable. If you are planning on using the pull out bed, be advised it's probably best for small children, not adults. The crossbar is noticeable and uncomfortable due to the thin mattress. One night my littlest kids (50 lb and 80 lb slept fine) the next night my 120 lb son slept on it and had to sleep across the mattress instead of how you regularly sleep which works fine if you're short. It was hot and humid and we appreciated having the air conditioning immensely! The condo is decorated nicely with comfortable towels and linens. Kitchen had enough basic equipment to prepare simple meals. The area is beautiful, easy access to the attractions, grocery and restaurants. We had a wonderful time and created precious memories."

  • 50th anniversary celebration!

"We had 15 of us up at the house for 5 nights for my in laws' 50th anniversary celebration and had a great time! Pros: + Hot tub is huge and awesome and 4 feet deep at one end! We fit the whole crew in it and it kept the kids busy for days(!) + Games and the actual bar were great for adult lounging and even though several are coin-driven, it was still great fun. Didn't need to leave the house to feel like we were having a night out. Nothing like drinking too much out at the bar and then walking upstairs to bed :) + With 6 bedrooms and a million feet of deck, plus the semi-detached hot tub, even with 15 people, we kept losing folks around the house. Plenty of room to hang out. + Owners and caretaker were very nice and easy to work with + Lots of room for frisbee and the like on the yard + Constantly finding new widgets on the walls and ceiling to talk about + Within an hour of the Dells for a day trip +Kitchen is well-stocked, but had no baking dishes. Bring yours. Fridge is a normal family size. We were concerned, with 15 people, but it worked out quite well Cons: There aren't too many + Several amenities in the house will cost you extra $ if you want to use them--washing machine, electric coolers, games, bar ice maker, jukebox (although bring CDs, as there's a good stereo). I'd love to see a package deal put together for those charges with one $ charge. Or some sort of "pick two" for $X. I don't mind some extra fees for options, but hearing the "for an extra charge" so often during the booking process was off-putting. As it was, in 5 days we didn't pay for or need anything other than the slot machine + The upstairs screened deck is great, as each bedroom opens onto to it independently, but with the fall season starting, it had a lot of yellow jackets inside the screens. I'll let the owners know so they can check that. +Grocery store is a 20 mile round trip. No fault of the house and totally navigable, but plan ahead."

  • Great Winter Get-A-Way with Family!

"We spent the last weekend in January with our family, which included my husband and I, our two sons and their wife's and our five grandchildren ages 3-10. It couldn't have been a more perfect place to stay as there was more than enough room for all of us. It was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The grandkids (and us adults, too) were amazed at the decor with all the interesting things on the walls and cealings! We were able to stay inside to keep busy most of the time with the pool table, a very nice checker board table and DVD player. It was also so nice outside, which can be unusual in January, we were all able to go out side and build a snowman. We also walked down the street a short distance and the kids played on the playground equipment near the Spring Brook Sports Bar. I would definitely recommend The Bear Paw. Matt, the owner, answered our questions through email very promptly and we hope to rent this awesome place next year!"

  • Awesome location!

"The house is perfectly located across the street for the Ski hills. The house is extremely spacious and fit my friends and I very well. The kitchen and family room have open concept and large island in the center which was great for our big group. The bedrooms are all very big and could each accommodate an air mattress if need be. Laurel had great communication before we arrived as well. I would definitely return to this rental for a future ski trip to Devil's Head. Thanks again for everything, Laurel!"
