  • Early spring break

"My girlfriend and I reserved Delavan getaway for just that. A short girlfriend "getaway". This cottage was very nice and comfortable. The weather was a bit chilly so having the fireplace was wonderful. Will definitely keep this information available for another stay. Julie was so easy to communicate with."

  • Nice secluded place

"Great place. The only thing I'd say negatively would be that it would have been nice to have some salt and paper products - napkins, paper towels etc."

  • Perfect family vacation home!

"My extended family stayed here for about a week in August. The location cannot be beat, and the house was well equipped with everything we needed and more, including tons of toys and games (beach, yard, and indoor) for the kids and just about everything you'd need for the beach, including coolers, towels, beach bags, chairs, and a wagon to get it there! If you're looking for a modern, pristine, top of the line rental, this house isn't for you, but if you love the character and charm of a gorgeous, well-built, older bungalow and don't mind the quirks of such a place, then it's beautiful and perfect. The woodwork and architectural features of the house are stunning. Mike was very responsive to questions and willing to give great suggestions for things to do. We cooked almost all of our meals at the house, and the kitchen and grill station had everything we could possibly need. The large dining room was perfect and even had a high chair and booster seat for the younger ones. A few notes: The sleeping surfaces in some rooms include matresses on the floor. Clarify with the owner if that would be a problem for folks in your party. It wasn't for us. The AC is a collection of window units and fans, which kept the house pleasant enough given the mid-August heat. They can make it loud when they are all running, but again, this is a realistic setup for a house of this age. Overall, we loved this house and enjoyed our time there. We will definitely consider returning! I would especially recommend it to families with children!"

  • Our annual family reunion at Powers Lake

"Our family enjoyed a great 4day Labor Day weekend at this wonderful and charming property. It is filled with character! Nine adults, ages 39-79, and nine children, ages 2 - 14, had plenty of room for outdoor avtivities and indoor games. We stayed in the Lodge. It had a fully equipped kitchen and so much room for the many game tables . Our two yr old grandson loved playing on the big stage. We all spent each day on the spacious pier or in the water. Water was so clean and warm! All the kids loved the raft, paddle boat and our son in law's boat provided knee board, water ski and many other water activities for the adults and kids. Our favorite times for our Italian family were around the super large table sharing a meal. We created great memories at Powers lake ar this beautiful Lodge. Thanks to Jerry for his love and care of these unique homes : the Lodge, the Cottage and the Lake home."
