  • Perfect for my boys

"I stayed here for 3 nights with my two sons, ages 5 and 7. They had an absolute blast searching for interesting rocks in the huge dry creek bed behind the caboose, cooking over a campfire every day, swimming in the hot tub, and relaxing in the caboose. It was VERY relaxing. We all slept great and went on a few little side trips to neighboring towns and drove along the Mississippi. I'm hoping to return in the future. Thanks for the great mini-vacation!"

  • Christmas in the Driftless!

"Spent Christmas at this cabin and we agree it will be the Christmas to beat! Snowshoed, hiked, cooked great meals and enjoyed the solitude this cabin offers. It was neat as a pin and had everything we needed. The upstairs loft is a perfect place to read and relax. The hot tub was amazing and the beds comfortable. Such a cozy inviting environment inside and the scenery can't be beat outside. We brought a DVD from the library about the history of the Driftless Region and learned what an ecologically unique place it is. The owner is top notch to work with, responds quickly to questions and is very accommodating. This place offered us pure relaxation!"

  • Beautifully Peaceful

"We had a great time! Initially after booking the our stay here I started to research the area to look for things to to during our visit, like Wineries, Breweries, live music, theater, historic attractions.... I had a number of thoughts of things to do while we were there. The truth, once we arrived it was so nice and peaceful we really didn't want to leave. The house was very well kept and as advertised. We went up to Viroqua to rent some snow shoes and brought them back and hiked around on some of the trails right outside our door. The peace was such a welcome break from "normal" life. We sat out on the porch and couldn't hear a single vehicle. No city lights, so the stars were amazingly clear. All my plans of "things to do", well maybe some other time. We just wanted to bask in the peace. The loudest noise we heard during our stay was from our snow shoes crunching through the woods. I would definitely recommend this place. Thanks Rod and Sandy!"

  • Quiet and secluded

"The cabin was exactly what was advertised. It was neat and tidy. The property was very quiet and secluded, but only 15 minutes away from a nice town. My two small dogs loved being able to run around without having to worry about other dogs or cars. Overall fantastic property."
