  • Comfort on the ridge

"We did not find the ridge vacation home to be lacking in any respects. The setting, the design, and the furnishings are so beautiful. The home is spacious enough to accommodate 6 guests and was perfect for just the two of us. This is one of the most vacation friendly homes we have ever rented. The loft master bedroom was so comfortable and enabled us to awaken to this amazing view of the Mississippi river. We have been in love with the Driftless area for many years and this home reinforced our feelings in that regard. P.S. All visitors should read Eric's framed writing "The promise of spring" on display in the family room. We found it very touching."

  • Excellent choice!

"This place never ceases to let us down. We have been here for 3 years in a row now. Clean, private, away from the hustle and bustle of work and traffic, plenty of room to spread out, both indoors and out. Love it here! Thanks Joel and Jenny!"

  • Annul getaway weekend

"Very clean. Ample room for 6 people. Variety of entertainment in vicinity even though we were there during the flooding and did not get to do what we had originally intended. Owner friendly and helpful. Would recommend to other people."

  • Lovely cabin with a fantastic view

"This cabin sits high up on a hill and offers a stunning view of the Mississippi. The beautiful wooded area around it offers privacy and lovely green scenery. I really enjoyed listening to the birds in the morning and crickets at night on the huge wraparound porch. The lower deck offers a hot tub which was a great added bonus to the cabin. Hanging in the hot tub was very relaxing! The interior of the cabin is clean, open, and the abundant natural light that comes in makes it a joyful space to be in. The town it's in offers some fun places to hang out like the Wooden Nickel. There's also a cute pottery place in town and Lansing IA is right across the bridge if you're looking for more food options than what the town has to offer! Only downside is that the beds were a bit uncomfortable and the owners of the cabin maybe have a pet because there were dog hairs throughout the cabin. Because of the beds, sleeping wasn't as relaxing as I would have liked it to be. This however, would not discourage me from coming back to this cabin because it was a fantastic experience overall!"
