  • A perfect getaway!

"My sibs, Mom & I have enjoyed Cedric's Scenic Getaway three times in the past few years. It is always a welcome delight - and a provides us a much needed time away from each of our lives. It is super peaceful and the fact that there isn't television nor internet truly allows us to unplug. This past weekend was exactly what the doctor ordered! Thank you Cedric, for providing us with such a perfect home for our annual sib reunion. We had the great pleasure to meet you this time as well! What a fun surprise that was! You are such a kind and lovely person which complimented our time there! Thank you thank you! Hope to see you again. Monica Zaffarano"

  • Perfect for our quiet weekend away!

"We loved every minute of our weekend stay at On Mississippi Ridge! We were celebrating our anniversary with a rare weekend away without our kids. We were looking for someplace quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of life, and this place really fulfilled that goal! Despite the somewhat rainy weather, the view was still awesome, and we were able to open the windows and only hear...quiet! It was great! The driveway to the cabin is somewhat steep...not a problem, just an FYI. We opted not to do any cooking while we were there; there are limited choices in Ferryville (mostly bar fare...The Wooden Nickel has great burgers!), but lots of great dining options in nearby Prairie du Chien. We also ventured north to De Soto one night and to Stoddard one night for eating out. We also visited Cabela's in PdC and spent some time touring Villa Louis (very cool if you are a history buff) in PdC. Had the weather been nicer, we probably would have visited Effigy Mounds in nearby Marquette or taken a trip to one of the nearby apple orchards. But, it was somewhat rainy the entire time we were there so we skipped the outdoor activities this time around. We found the cabin to be very clean, comfortable, and perfect for hanging out for a weekend. It does have satellite and wi-fi as well, if you are worried about being disconnected! The owner was super receptive to all of my questions, returning all emails very quickly with very friendly manners. Highly recommend this place and really hope to make a return visit!"

  • Wonderful cabin in great location

"I booked the cabin for a weekend getaway with some friends from Chicago and it was a perfect place to relax and enjoy this part of Wisconsin. On the first night we went for a hike in the forest just across the street and on the second day went canoeing on the Wisconsin river, which was just a 45 minute drive from here. The cabin is gorgeous, in addition to being both well kept and equipped."

  • Great Weekend Away to celebrate partner's bday!

"So at first we didn't know what to expect, whether or not this caboose was going to be as awesome as the description and photos. Well - it definitely surpassed our expectations! It's definitely roomy enough for a couple and our two dogs. Everything needed to cook was available as well as the great hot tub! We stayed on the property for most of the stay but also got lost for a bit and made a quick trip to see the Mississippi River :) . I'd definitely stay here again to enjoy another quiet relaxing weekend!"
