  • Perfect!!

"We booked this place at the last minute. What a cute place! Very cozy. Owners had everything ready for us. The weather was bad but when we arrived the walkways were shoveled and ready for us. Mineral Point is a cute town. We definitely will be returning!"

  • Great Get Away

"We were very happy with this property. We went with a group of friends for a girls weekend getaway which involved the downtown area, the winery, and the Dubuque Elevator. We were happy to find the property was clean, with a lot of room, and with a great view of the city. The property has a lot of character. Property managers were very kind and accommodating. Pros: Lots of space for small or large group, multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, conveniently located in downtown Dubuque area, secure building, private overlook. Cons: Open space equals echos and loud footsteps within condo. Overall - Great Stay and we would stay again."

  • Great for extended family getaway or in our case - 80th birthday party!

"This was our first time visiting the Potosi area let alone staying at the Lodge. We were gathering family from MN, MO and IL and it was fairly central. We loved everything about the Lodge and the area (although some of our younger family members were a little concerned with the small town area). The home itself is amazing and worth staying at even if you don't want to explore the area. We were treated wonderfully from booking through check-out. We spent most of our time on the main floor in front of the fire having great conversations and laughter. The teenagers in the group spent time on the lower floor enjoying pinball and card games. We hiked the Lodge yard and loved the hidden waterfalls, deer hide and amazing views of the river. Potosi was wonderful as well with great food at the brewery and at the local pizza restaurant - make sure you ask Michelle about them! We tasted wine at the local winery and beer at the brewery enjoying the experience at both places. My mother - the 80 year old - loved the entire weekend and would do it again in an instant. My only caveat- if you are into fast paced crowded metro scenes and struggle to slow down and just be still this may not be the place for you. If you can slow down, you will be delighted with the memories you make at the Log Home Lodge."
