  • More than worth the price...

"Overall the cabin and property were great. It's a great central location in Wisconsin for families that want to meet in the middle, as we did. While you have to pay for it, you do have easy access to all of the amenities that the resort has to offer. Your savings by booking through a 3rd party do outweigh the additional cost. The owner was very nice, responsive, and easy to work with. It would be great to have wifi that was functional (I know that's not why you go to a cabin, but it is 2017!). I think the owner is working on getting this in place. Also, we went when it was very cold (0 degrees) and it's a bit tough to get these cabins warm. It's no fault of the owner, it's just the way they're built. We were able to get ours up to around 70 degrees with some time and proper air movement. I wouldn't let that stop you from going, just be prepared is all. Thanks!"

  • Peaceful and relaxing!

"My friend and I stayed at this beautiful cabin for a three-day weekend. The pictures online don't do it justice. It's even cuter and nicer in person. The entire place was absolutely spotless and we really appreciated how clean everything was. I slept in the main bedroom on the first floor and it was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. My friend slept in one of the beds upstairs. The cabin itself is very secluded which is exactly what we wanted. It was really peaceful. There is a shooting range nearby so you can hear gunshots occasionally throughout the day but it's not very loud. We were here the first week of October so it was a little too cold to take a dip in the pond. One note I would make is that although it states this is in the description for the cabin, I didn't realize that the only source of heat is from the potbelly stove. The stove was great and easy to make a fire. The owners kept the firewood well stocked. But if you're renting in colder weather, keep in mind that you will have to keep the fire going all night. It ended up being fun to keep the fire stoked and we enjoyed roughing it for the weekend! We rented bikes for the day at a place called Speedy's bike rental in Sparta Wisconsin. They were awesome. We got fully outfitted with bikes and bike helmets and had a blast riding on the beautiful Elroy-Sparta bike trail. I highly recommend that! Last, need to emphasize that there is no cell service or Internet service at all. Both my friend and I have AT&T for our cell service and were not able to get a signal until we got into Sparta. Even in Sparta which is about 25 minutes away we were only able to get a good signal in the Walgreens parking lot. Other than that even in Sparta we found that the service was very very spotty. Still we had fun being off the grid for the weekend without any communications. It ended up being a very relaxing and fun weekend. The owners recommended the Evergreen Supper Club. It was exactly what you would hope for in the supper club. Would definitely go back. I would recommend this cabin without hesitation. I plan on coming back again next year."

  • Very clean, comfortable, and well stocked.

"Perfect spot for a quick getaway, with a wonderful, spacious kitchen that has everything we needed to cook meals every day. (Also, wine glasses, which are a necessity of life for me and which I'd forgotten to bring.) This area is rather beautiful and one can imagine there is much to do in the summer - we had fun anyway, driving through the villages and enjoying the scenery. Weather during our stay was on the extreme end for winter but it's a very comfortable place to be stuck in for a few days. The open, spacious interior and lots of natural light help from feeling shut in. I suppose it's worth mentioning we didn't have any cell service (At&t), no internet, and limited cable. None of this was a concern to us, being more easily entertained with books, some of our own DVD's, and the Nintendo provided. Also found out Wisconsin public TV has really interesting programming. Inconsistency of pressure and temperature in the shower is probably the only real nitpick I would have, which is beyond trivial in light of what you get here. The place was as clean as any hotel and more affordable than most all of those. Being close to my home, I would certainly consider renting here again."

  • Beautiful home, clean and spacious for our group of 3 couples. Hosts were very helpful too.

"Big kitchen , outdoor grill and dining room made this house so nice for dinner celebrations. Sat on the front porch for morning coffee and happy hour wine. We enjoyed the many trails in the area and helpfulnes of Speeds bike shop too for rental and info."
