  • A perfect getaway!

"My sibs, Mom & I have enjoyed Cedric's Scenic Getaway three times in the past few years. It is always a welcome delight - and a provides us a much needed time away from each of our lives. It is super peaceful and the fact that there isn't television nor internet truly allows us to unplug. This past weekend was exactly what the doctor ordered! Thank you Cedric, for providing us with such a perfect home for our annual sib reunion. We had the great pleasure to meet you this time as well! What a fun surprise that was! You are such a kind and lovely person which complimented our time there! Thank you thank you! Hope to see you again. Monica Zaffarano"

  • Great Local, Cabin and communication

"We stayed here with our family from the UK, the location was close to the lake, Vineyard and town. We were 4 people and sleeping was fine. Note that there is one bedroom with a double bed, one upstairs attic area looking over the main room with 2 single beds and then a sofa that is a futon by the fire in the main area. Clean, big and great correspondence from the owners."

  • Perfect for our quiet weekend away!

"We loved every minute of our weekend stay at On Mississippi Ridge! We were celebrating our anniversary with a rare weekend away without our kids. We were looking for someplace quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of life, and this place really fulfilled that goal! Despite the somewhat rainy weather, the view was still awesome, and we were able to open the windows and only hear...quiet! It was great! The driveway to the cabin is somewhat steep...not a problem, just an FYI. We opted not to do any cooking while we were there; there are limited choices in Ferryville (mostly bar fare...The Wooden Nickel has great burgers!), but lots of great dining options in nearby Prairie du Chien. We also ventured north to De Soto one night and to Stoddard one night for eating out. We also visited Cabela's in PdC and spent some time touring Villa Louis (very cool if you are a history buff) in PdC. Had the weather been nicer, we probably would have visited Effigy Mounds in nearby Marquette or taken a trip to one of the nearby apple orchards. But, it was somewhat rainy the entire time we were there so we skipped the outdoor activities this time around. We found the cabin to be very clean, comfortable, and perfect for hanging out for a weekend. It does have satellite and wi-fi as well, if you are worried about being disconnected! The owner was super receptive to all of my questions, returning all emails very quickly with very friendly manners. Highly recommend this place and really hope to make a return visit!"

  • Awesome Accommodations!

"The lodge was a wonderful place to stay. I was with a family group of six, and we all enjoyed everything about this comfortable house. (A bathroom on each floor was appreciated!) The view was beautiful, and the trains were fun to watch. The owners were great to deal with, and I received my deposit refund promptly. If we ever come back to this area, we hope to stay here again."
