  • Great condo, great views!

"We were a little bit weary about booking this property, because there weren't that many pictures posted. We knew it had a beautiful view, but weren't sure what the inside looked like. Well, we were not disappointed! The main living area had large, newer couches and a super comfortable leather recliner. There was a dining table that seats 6-8 and a galley kitchen that was outfitted with everything you would need to cook meals (although we ate out mostly). Everything was well kept and was mostly updated. The bedrooms were both sizable with ceiling fans. The master bedroom has a beautiful view of Egg Harbor with a full bath with bath tub attached. The 2nd bedroom had a full size bed (maybe was a queen... our toddler was sleeping in it, so it was hard to tell) and a futon, so it has plenty of room. The location was excellent... walkable to Egg Harbor if you felt like walking. We visited in mid october, so the leaves were at peak color, which made the view even more spectacular. We built a fire in the fireplace one night. The neighborhood association had free firewood out by the garages. It was very quiet, we were the only ones in the 4 unit building the weekend we stayed. We walked down to the pool, which was closed since it was Fall season, but it looked nice for a dip in the summer. Overall, we had a great stay!"

  • Lambeau's #1 Destination!!

"Once again, we stayed at the Shadow of Lambeau for our annual Packers trip....and we will continue to make it our # 1 choice in Green Bay. Gary and Becky go out of their way to make your stay, rival The Ritz! The location is unbeatable. The house is awesome and clean. The backyard is the only one left on Lombardi avenue....and that is what makes for a memorable family and friend event! This is a MUST experience, and I cannot give it a higher recommendation. Take The Frozen Tundra off of your bucket list the right way...by staying in it's shadow!"

  • Enjoyed our family weekend at the lodge.

"We came into the area for a wedding and had a large group with adults and kids staying at the house. The house has many rooms for housing and sleeping many, which was much appreciated. The kids spent the night in the loft, which has 5 twin beds. They thought it was cool, but if you have kids of varying ages and sleep times, this could pose difficult for some. While the downstairs bar area seemed attractive on the photos, we spent most time on the main floor, the deck with table and the fire pit area outside. The kitchen isn't huge, but it's enough to get the job done and opens up nicely to the living room. My husband and I were in one of the master suites on the main floor. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the sheets were soft. I slept well and others in our group indicated they did too - it was comfy and cozy. The house was stocked with plenty of linens. I was worried we wouldn't have enough bath towels or washcloths, but that was not a problem. The house is tucked back off the road, but is on a busy road, so you will hear traffic zooming by. It did not bother me as we sat outside, but others in my group found it annoying. There is a bar/grill within walking (or stumbling) distance, which had a nice Friday night fish fry. The house did not have kleenex, and although this may seem minuet, it's something I'd be sure to pack if I returned for another visit. The owner is nice, well organized and good about communicating with guests very quickly. All in all, I give it a 4 star."

  • Family getaway

"We recently had our 3rd consecutive annual family reunion at Sunset Lodge. The whole family thoroughly enjoys this experience, moreso even than our previous stays at a Dells water park. Not that the water park experience was in any way bad, just that this experience is better. The private indoor pool, especially, is a hit with the grandchildren; the fishing pier is a hit with everyone as are the lower level pool table and large-screen TVs. Everything needed for meals, sleeping, laundry, etc. is available and clean and Karen, the manager, is super pleasant and helpful. We hope to be back next year."
