  • Wonderful!

"It was a beautiful house in a lovely setting. Could see mountains from every window. Wonderful time! The Hayes Family"

  • Beautiful historic cabin on the river

"This was the best place ever to stay-owners Sue and Bill were great to work with. Everything was clean and comfortable except the home made screens could have been better-many spaces, we had to leave the windows closed. The other problem we had were the vicious mosquitoes, we could not go outside at all without repellent on. I know they had some recent rains so that may account for it. For some reason flies were in the house on the second day after opening up the house, I know there wasn't anyone before us this was alittle crazy, swatting was not fun nor cleaning it up. Location was great far away from everything but close enough to drive in or up to the mountains. Disappointed that the "Dance Hall" did not have a band or dancing that would have made the place, café and bar very cute and atmosphere was great!"

  • Multiple visits to Aspen Creek, all have exceeded our expectations!

"My snowmobiling group and I rented all 3 units in a total of 2 visits this season. Each unit is unique and accommodates different sized groups nicely. Each unit was clean, comfortable and luxurious. The kitchens were nicely stocked with cookware, utensils and spices to handle any home cooked meal we could prepare. The onsite cleaning lady was very nice and helped us promptly when we needed a specialty pan for cooking or more towels. Before coming here I read some of the reviews, some of them negative and here is my response. Complaint: The wifi stopped working after a the morning. Answer: You are traveling to the wilderness! Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon and AT&T do not get cell phone coverage out here in 99% of the mountains unless you are in the State Forest parking lot across the street and then AT&T and Verizon will work. Wifi worked just fine for checking and responding to emails before heading out for the day. We will be back next year, thanks again Paula!"

  • Beautiful, quiet summer vacation destination.

"My husband and I ventured off for a two week, 30th Anniversary vacation, with Deerwood Station Guest Cabin as our final stop. We enjoyed the quiet, peaceful surroundings and the solitude of the cabin. We also found plenty to do, as we chose! We traveled Hwy 130 and hiked up Sugar Loaf and Medicine Bow. We went into Centennial and ate at the Bear Tree Tavern and enjoyed ice cream at Country Junction. The cabin is well furnished, comfortable beds, and is spotless. Being here and enjoying the 75-80 degree temperatures when it was 100-110 back home...priceless! If you have never been to this area you will be amazed at how beautiful and close at hand activities are, but there are almost NO other tourists around. How has this area been such a well kept secret? The only down side is the mosquito population, which was plentiful since we were right on a creek. Janna and Rich provide spray and citronella candles, which were so helpful. The hosts are fantastic, the hideaway easily accessible and the adventures-easy to be had."
