"First experience booking through VRBO, the process and accommodations were better than expected. The Cabin is very comfortable and beautiful with peeled log and pine board interior walls and ceilings. The booking process is quick and easy, response time was within the promised time frame. Price and value were well suited for the location considering rural Wyoming. Easy highway access allows for cars or trucks, ample parking, and effortless unloading and loading of luggage.
Beautiful large deck with southern exposure to enjoy sharing a meal or drinks. Large open interior space with living, dining, kitchen area and half bath on the main floor. Bedrooms and loft area with 3/4 bath and laundry room on the upper floor. Bonus small step out deck from the loft area looks north, great starry night viewing away from the street lights.
The fireplace in the living room makes nice viewing and warmed the entire cabin. Ceiling fans help to distribute the heat and keep the area comfortable. Over all the cabin was clean and well maintained, plenty of extra towels and bedding.
The attraction for this part of Wyoming is hunting, fishing and sightseeing. There is a good grocery store 20 minutes north in Saratoga, with fuel, licenses, and sundries right across the street from the cabin at the feed store. Be prepared to dine-in, although there is a restaurant/ bar in Encampment on state highway 70 south of Riverside, which is about 5-6 miles from the cabin.
The draw backs for this location are few, however they are worth mentioning. The shower is a small corner style that requires stepping into before you turn on the water, hot water is slow to arrive and the tight space works if you are slim and under 6 foot tall. There is a ramp from the parking area to a side door that is not ADA compliant, wheel chair access is limited and the half bathroom is non-compliant.
Everything considered we had a wonderful time relaxing and would recommend this property to friends. And, of course, we will be back for another visit."
