Santa Teresa villa rentals

Our stay at this stylish, modern luxury villa was way too short, but the time we did have was pretty amazing. First off, the house: it looks like it was built yesterday, and it’s got to be owned by an architect or something. Everything is sparkling and obviously new and very obviously top shelf. The design is kind of Brazil-modern meets Eames - very open and airy, such that the whole front of the main part of the house is glass doors that slide away to open to the pool and the beach. The pool is giant – bigger than it looks in the pictures – and the whole main area is just one big open cooking-eating-drinking-lounging space. No corporate ‘décor’, no plastic anything, just very tasteful, solid furnishings and appointments. This thing should be in a magazine.The bedrooms are in smaller structures flanking the main house, which is good for privacy but not great for running to the kitchen in the rain. (We didn’t have kids along this trip, but we will next year and having them occupying their own soundproof rooms will be ideal)The staff is great. Someone was around to look after the place just about all of the time, which sounds intrusive but actually wasn’t an issue at all. I’m guessing they’re trained to stay in the background, they were very helpful and having the house cleaned daily was really nice.The commercial part of Santa Teresa is right outside the gate at the end of the driveway – you can literally walk to breakfast, lunch, dinner, surf shops, groceries, etc.

Our family of four stayed between Christmas and New Years. The house was perfect - great views and great location. Right in the middle of Santa Teresa. The host was incredible. So helpful before and during the trip with reservations, cars, etc. We used LocalBird for fishing, snorkeling, etc. We missed our flight from San Jose to Cobano and there were no other flights. The host quickly helped us come up with Plan B including a driver. Saved tge day!!!

The unit is just as it looks in the photos - open, spacious, and well lit. It is modern and sparse, and feels brand new with high ceilings, smooth textured plaster walls, stainless appliances - and adequate cooling and ventilation. The main open living room and kitchen area is above two identical bedrooms with bathroom and open shower - perfect for up to four people. It is amazingly airy and natural - there are sliding glass walls on two sides one facing the ocean - the open almost completely - a very nice feature. It is perched on a hill with several other similar residences with 24 hour security stationed in a small structure at the main road with an entrance gate. It's location - on the north end of Santa Teresa is a little more private - and its position up the steep hill - about a 5 minute walk to the beach - gives a great view and is quiet. After visiting I would prefer staying off the beach a bit for these reasons. Highly recommend renting ATV if staying here - to traverse the hill and travel into town starting about a mile to the south. We found the property manager and local staff to be very friendly and helpful. If we return, we would definitely stay here again- don't think its possible to find anything better unless you want the convenience of a resort. But if you are that type, you probably aren't coming to Santa Teresa. Enjoy.

This place was amazing!!!!! It has everything you need for a perfect time. We stayed 10 days and can’t say enough good things. The views are incredible, the pool is great, the property manager is excellent and the location is spectacular.

We absolutely loved our stay. I cannot express enough how beautiful this property is - how beautiful the beach is - and how lovely the owners/operator is. Truly a concierge experience where every detail is attended to. The location is a short walk to the most gorgeous beach and we often would see monkeys in the trees during the walk. The beds were extremely comfortable and the sheets/pillows were very good quality. We went to local restaurants, had surfing lessons, went fishing/snorkeling and took a hike to the Montezuma waterfalls. All details were arranged by Batik. We had a private yoga session at the on-property yoga hut - and it was wonderful. We had a local woman cook for us twice- and the food was wonderful and it was nice to just let our children swim while we relaxed. Batik also arranged for a private charter plane back to San Jose so that we could get our flight home. We cannot wait to come back. We have three children ages 15, 11 and 6 and felt very safe. The location has a full-time security guard - but I'm not sure one is needed - but it was nice to know he was there. I have very high standards and cannot recommend this property more strongly.
