  • A peaceful retreat in a hidden gem of the Oregon coast!!

"The Zen house was a wonderful retreat for myself and my sweetie. We were just a heartbeat away from cape perpetua where we hiked to the top (you can drive) for an outstanding view of the coast. We also went to several little stops right after cape perpetua Devils churn and several beaches strawberry hill to name one and found lots of agates and shells. The house is up for sale so we had tons of cars stop in the driveway and turn around and anytime we were out with the animals people stopped and asked about the place which was a bit annoying. The place does have a completely separate room but I do not feel this is a comfortable retreat for 5 people if you are looking to congregate play games as the living room truly only has comfortable seating for two. The futon is very old and I don't believe usable for an adult only a small child my family actually slept on the recliners which are extremely comfortable. The soaking tub and sauna and shower are as many have said the highlight of this home and honestly would bring me back again. The trail they talk about that is down the road away is less steep but if you have anybody who is not a strong walker as my mother was not it is jagged rocks and we all had to assist her. You have a beautiful ocean view from the top master and the windows on this room are out of this world for your morning and evening view you will not want to close the drapes. The deck is awesome and the star filled sky was spectacular. Overall my stay here was fabulous I would only recommend this place for couples personally but overall it was a spectacular vacation and I'm zen fully happy"

  • Perfect Place in Maui!

"We just got home from an amazing 9 day stay at this condo. We loved the location of the condo, just a short walk to a great beach and downtown and not too far from all the other areas on the island we wanted to explore. The condo itself is beautifully updated. It had a really nice kitchen, two great TVs and a music system. The bed was also super comfy! We loved staying at this condo and would stay here again! Highly recommend!"

  • Very nice home! Relaxing large private porch over looking stream and yard.

"Stayed here while attending weekend class at John C Campbell Folk School. School is only about 2.5 miles away. We really enjoyed the stay. Nice to able to sit on porch and hear the stream. Enjoyed feeding the fish and watching the hummers. Just a very nice time all around, we will do this again."

  • Great stay at the Horse Ranch

"Clean, comfy, quiet place outside of town. This was our second time staying at the Horse Ranch and loved it more than the first. The house is clean and well kept and the surroundings peaceful. The kids love visiting the horses (and all the room to run around the property, except it was too hot this time to stay outdoors too long!). We love the quiet mornings and evenings and the STARS at night!!! We picked the sweetest peaches from the orchard and made a pie! Wish we were around the property more, we would have sampled all the varieties of fruit which were so abundant and just falling to the ground--the owner was kind enough to invite us to eat as much as we like! The location is convenient, near the highway and just a short drive into town for errands, groceries, etc. The only suggestion I'd make to the owners is to supply more cooking and eating utensils (they were pretty sparse) and a hot water kettle, and that it would be nice if someone turned on the A/C to cool the house before a tenant arrives during the summer (we walked into what felt like over 100 degrees when we arrived late at night and it took a few hours to finally cool the house down). Otherwise, the place was just right for our summer visit to the area. Thanks Sue!"
