  • Awesome place for family or group of travelers to stay!

"As a group of seven young professionals we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Kalani. Nicole (the property manager) was incredibly helpful setting up everything we needed on the trip including transportation and a zip-line canopy tour. The house had everything we needed, and although the pool isn't huge, it's perfect to cool off in during the humid afternoons. The upstairs balcony is the perfect place to catch a sunset, or watch the monkeys in the morning. I would recommend Casa Kalani to anyone who wants a great stay in Manuel Antonio! -Will Mattingly"

  • Great property!

"Property was great. No cellular phone reception or very poor for AT&T. This probably should be noted so people can be prepared."

  • Beautiful Home; Amazing Hospitality from Owners

"John and Terese (the owners) literally bent over backwards to make our stay easy and comfortable. Thank you! Some examples. We were travelling with our 4-month-old and they provided a pack-and-play at no additional cost. Our flight home was at 6pm and they allowed us to check out late (note that nobody was checking in the next day, so don't necessarily expect this). When we arrived, John helped us take all of our bags (lots of stuff when traveling with an infant) upstairs to the bedroom, and Terese showed us around the house, including the awesome SONOS system that lets you control the music in the built-in speakers from your smartphone. John was also awesome and very responsive in helping us plan our visit -- e.g. answering questions about parking, access, etc. The list goes on and on -- just know that they are excellent hosts and will work with you to make your stay as easy and comfortable as possible. The house itself is beautiful -- newly remodeled with high-end furnishings -- and it's a gorgeous, classical New England home. The beds were VERY comfortable. The house is gorgeous in that the living room and dining room both have giant bay windows. The kitchen was newly remodeled with all the necessary equipment to cook a great meal. If you have a car, there's also a dedicated parking spot behind the house, which is awesome. It's a 2-family house and you have the 2nd and 3rd floors (and your own private entrance). I believe there are tenants living on the 1st floor, though we never saw or heard them. The location is also great. 5-10 minute walk from the redline T stop in Davis Square, and less than 5 minute walk to Ball Square and Tufts. Nice, family-oriented neighborhood. Great restaurants all a short walk away (John and Terese will give you a list). In sum, we highly recommend this place, especially for families, but really for anyone who wants a beautiful home to stay in near Boston."

  • Paradise in the DR

"Can't say enough about this amazing property. So relaxing, so enjoyable, so quiet. Spent 10 days with 2 families and had a wonderful time. Carol and Fred were so accommodating. Can't thank them enough for making our stay so wonderful. House stands on top on the plantation with beautiful view and sunsets. Will be back."
