  • Very cozy cabin!

"We stayed at Alpine Belle for our Pigeon Forge vacation. The cabin was very clean and cozy. Amy was wonderful to work with always responding in a timely manner to emails. I highly recommend this cabin! Porch views was enjoyed greatly each morning drinking my coffee."

  • Clean, comfortable and convenient!

"My husband, tiny dog and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hill House. The house was clean and tastefully decorated with comfortable furnishings, modern appliances, and plenty of space. The yard was more than adequate for a dog 'relief area' early in the morning and late at night outside 'walking hours'. Great little park across the street too which made dog walks very pleasant. Easy walk to food trucks and a number of restaurants on First. Our favorites within walking distance- Torchy's Tacos and Gourdough's Donuts (Fat Elvis was OMG! delicious) food trucks and Polvos Restaurant. A short drive south on First to Taqueria Arandas yielded a fabulous casual meal as well. Other attractions: Zilker Park has a WONDERFUL off leash area for well behaved dogs. It's 25 acres but not fenced, so a good recall is needed. (10 minute drive away) Franklin BBQ - Worth the 3 hour wait. In fact, the wait is part of the adventure. 6th Street - Bars and music galore. Most start relatively late, but we found great music on a Thursday night at 7:30 pm. so even early birds can find entertainment. The house is conveniently located as well -- short drive to downtown or to any of the highways. A left turn to go north onto First from Gibson proved VERY difficult at many times of the day, so if heading north I recommend taking Bouldin to Barton Springs to First instead where a traffic signal helps with the left turn. Saved us some frustration once we figured out that routing, and let us stay in the relaxed ATX mode. Carole communicated well with me before and during our stay - She's a pleasure to deal with. We'd love to stay there again if we return to Austin in the future and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends and family."

  • a great apartment, living the high life in Chicago

"This is a spacious, very well appointed apartment with great views. Why would anyone stay in a hotel room when you can have all of this space and such a high level of amenities? The kitchen is extremely well stocked, with everything you could need including some things that aren’t normally found such as spices and helpful things like cling wrap. This is ideal if you are interested in some self catering, especially given the supermarket on the ground floor of the building. The apartment was very clean, and the bed very comfortable. Amenities such as the washing machine and dryer (including washing liquid) are very handy for travellers who are away from home on an extended break. The photos are an accurate representation of the property. The location is ideal, close to everything, Even though there’s public transport on the corner you can walk to many places. International guests should note that this is not what we would refer to as a penthouse – in that it is not on the top floor. I have come across this description of a penthouse in the US which seems to refer to just high floors. We thought we would be on the very top floor to avoid any potential noise from upstairs neighbours, so we were initially a bit concerned. We did not have any noise issues, though. There are a few other quibbles. The towels could be newer / better quality. The plastic flowers are not to everyone’s taste (well, not to mine!). The main drawback is the extent to which ‘house rules’ are communicated. On the plus side, they are made clear from the start, which is appreciated. There are, however, many plaques throughout the apartment reminding you of specific rules and warning of a loss of deposit each time. This significantly reduces the feeling of being welcomed. As did the detailed email on the day before we left reminding us of the condition in which we should leave the apartment. Perhaps the owner had a bad experience at some point, as all other communication was quite friendly. On the plus side our deposit was returned to us very quickly."
