  • Beautiful and many great amenities, but not great fishing

"The cabin was small, but plenty of space for my dad, our dog Halo and I. The bed was comfortable, but the only other place to sleep indoors was an extremely uncomfortable sofa-bed. We weren't really expecting it to be super comfortable, but all you could feel were the springs. The area around the cabin was also super cute, and everyone was very friendly, including the very helpful neighbors. We loved the outdoor screened-in patio, it was very nice to sit out there and enjoy a meal while looking out at the lake. There were a ton of amenities - everything we could have needed was provided for us tenfold. Unfortunately, we went on this trip mainly as a getaway, with a huge priority being fishing - which wasn't good. We were out there constantly, early in the morning, in the afternoon, in the evening - after about 3 days we had only caught 1 fish. We caught a couple more the next morning luckily, but I would not go here again with my objective being fishing. I don't recommend it to anyone who wants to go fishing and catch a decent amount of fish. However, I would recommend it as a small, relaxing getaway. In short, positives: adorable cabin and surrounding area, beautiful view of the lake, tons of amenities negatives: sofa-bed terribly uncomfortable, fishing was pretty bad I'd like to thank Shawn for letting us stay here, we did have a nice time despite our fishing not going so well!"

  • Great property - Excellent Location

"We loved our stay in Savannah. The house is really nice, but the best part is the location. You can walk to just about everywhere. Tons of great food options nearby. The owners were very responsive to the emails and answering all the questions we had. Overall I would rate this stay a 9.8 out of 10. Why? Two things. Insecure WIFI and Parking Garage is way too small. Since we work at a tech company, we understand the value of secure internet. The WIFI at this house doesn't have a password so it's an insecure connection (hint: don't login to your bank account). We just used a VPN to get around this, but I recommend the owners to put a password on their routers (very easy) but it will protect guest's information from intruders. Right now anyone can login to the network and setup a sniffer to steal passwords (sorry for the techy lingo). The other issue was the garage. It's not made for SUVs. I read another review that mentioned this when booking the property, but trust me it's really small. I parked my rental SUV in there with the help of my friend navigating. My other friend didn't feel comfortable parking his BMW x5 in there but we got lucky. We met the housekeeper and she let us park the car next door (because that property is also owned by the same owner) and it was vacant for the duration of our stay. Since everything was in the walking distance, I never had to drive during our entire 5 day stay. So this wasn't a big issue for us. If you have a small car (i.e Camry or Corolla) you'd be fine. Larger car owners, if you don't feel comfortable parking, then you can also feed the city parking meter in front of the house. P"

  • Brittany's best kept secret, exceptional!

"A beautifully appointed gite, spotlessly clean and really comfortable, the photographs on the website really do not do it justice. It certainly has the "wow factor" from the moment you walk through the door. It is the gite that has everything, including a beautiful hot tub where you can sit with a glass of wine and enjoy the beauty of the view or the night sky. The owners are very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. They have good local knowledge and readily recommend places to visit, things to do and will happily book restaurants for you. This is certainly the best gite we have rented in France and would certainly recommend it to friends and relatives. We cannot wait to return."
