Eventually we have found our little piece of heaven. This is the perfect place to escape the rat race and decompress. The cabin is well set up and spotlessly clean. Position A+ right on top of a trout filled stream. Acres of open space for kids (and dogs) to run free. Our Jack Russells had a time of their lives. The hot tub is amazing on cold winter nights and the beds super comfortable. Owners Rob and Robin are an awesome couple who we now consider good friends. We are really looking forward to getting back here for 2 weeks in the summer.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

First - I want to thank Rob for his hospitality. He called us several times while there to be sure all was ok and that we did not need anything. It really meant a lot to know you cared. The place is BEAUTIFUL!!! Total relaxation!! Penty of room for the whole family. Too cold for trout but we had fun trying. Sitting on the back deck listening to the water was just what the doctor ordered. We live in Jacksonville, Fl and there is a LOT for ground light at night - the stars there were AMAZING!!!! Our dog had fun playing with the neighborhood dogs!! We will be back for sure!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My wife and I rented this cabin over the Thankgiving Holiday and my children and grandchild (total 6 of us) converged from various points around the country for an unforgettable week. The cabin seems brand new, was immaculate, well appointed (including knives...very rare) and in a beautiful mountain setting with a creek gently rolling off the back porch. There's a fire pit for bonfires every night after time in a large hot tub/jacuzzi. The beds are very comfortable and there's lots of storage space. But most of all is the graciousness of Rob and Robin. They, to say the least, went out of their way to see that we had a great stay. Besides dropping off a baking dish we needed, Rob also insisted he come over and jump one of our cars when we found the battery dead. This while he was on his way to a tragic funeral. Not only is he gracious, but he's really interesting and I feel like I could talk to him all day long. The area offers many day trip opportunities for hiking, long view drives, rafting, fishing, etc. Robbinsville is not as rural a town as I thought. We wanted for nothing as the Ingles grocer is as nice a store as most large chain grocers. I was able to get my daughter's car serviced with an oil change and a new battery with quick service and fair prices. The Dollar General had the baby socks that somehow didn't get packed. Don't hesitate to come here for a respite. You'll be well treated and refreshed from a stay in a beautiful setting.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We spent spring break at the cabin with our grand kids. It was a great trip and your cabin was a major reason for our enjoyment. The kids and the dogs LOVED the creek. Your cabin is comfortable and inviting, and above all, very clean. We would like to return in the summer and fall. Thank your for your hospitality.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My family of three and our friends family of four spent a week at the house in late June. The house was very clean and perfect for us; the adults each had their own room and the 3 children had plenty of room in the loft. The creek right behind the house was amazing. The kids swam in it and also tubed from the bridge down to the house. We also caught several good sized trout! We brought our dogs who enjoyed it as well (they told me :)). The front yard was great also, big enough that we played football several times. There were many blueberries/blackberries at the edge of the yard and throughout the neighborhood. The neighborhood was safe so that the kids could ride their bikes and walk and play around. The house is in a neighborhood and not on a through road so no cars go through and it is near the end of a culdesac. At night we sat around the fire pit and roasted marshmello's, went in the jacuzzi and the kids caught lightning bugs and played capture. We went canoeing, fishing and swimming on the lake almost everyday. The 2 canoes they have were a great ammenity. The lake is amazing! Clean, quiet and beautiful. We rented a pontoon boat one day and pulled the kids on tubes. We went whitewater rafting on the Nantahala which wasn't very far away. Everyone loved it. I would definetly recommend this house to family, friends and anyone. It is in a great location, has all you need and the price is very reasonable.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

THE best cabin in North Carolina

Our family has been renting this cabin every July since 2002 (yes- 10 years!) and we can not say enough wonderful things about the owners, the area and the cabin itself. The cabin is always well maintained, very clean with more then enough utensils, dishware, storage etc. Rob and Robin (the owners) are the most delightful, caring people who really take pride in assuring everything is at its best. The cabin is located right on Snowbird Creek on a private road that is mildly secluded. The area is nicely quiet but only about 15 minutes from "downtown" Robbinsville. Snowbird Creek offers fantastic trout fishing (spectacular if one is willing to hike a bit and seek out the quite places). Lake Santeetlah is hands down our favorite lake and must be seen (Rent a boat from Dayton Camp Boat Rental). Surrounded mostly by National Forest you can spend hours in one of the branches and see no one but the occasional bald eagle.Joyce Kilmer Forest, the Cherahola Skyway, horse back riding (Lonesome Dove Stables) and white water rafting are all nearby. We HIGHLY recommend this cabin as your home away from home if you plan on vacationing in western Carolina! I will be more then happy to answer any question about our stays there, just email me at; tas035@earthlink.netRecommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We have stayed here several times during the winter and summer. We love it because it so peaceful and secluded, yet we NEVER run out of things to do! There are beautiful drives to take, lakes to canoe on, and hikes to hike. Our last visit we even ziplined in Bryson City.We always bring our dogs and sometimes invite our friends, the cabin is perfect and you don't need a thing. The hot tub and king sized bed are also an awesome bonus!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you so much for your review of our cabin. God Bless Rob and Robin

My husband and I and our 2 dogs were lucky enough to spend over 6 months in this lovely cabin during Fall, Winter and Spring. All seasons are amazing here, the neighborhood is peaceful and beautiful, with friendly residents both seasonal and year round. The dogs spent most of the days exploring and making friends, splashing about in the river, or playing in the large garden. I spent much of my free time in the Hot Tub on the back deck! Gorgeous place, highly recommended. Graham county is one of the most stunning parts of the U.S - there's a lot to do and see in Western N.C and this place makes the perfect home base. Thank you Rob and Robyn.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
