The view changes from minute to minute...always inspiring - Clayton Vacation Home “Halfway to Heaven” is a town home located at the top of Screamer Mountain in beautiful Clayton, Georgia. It is spectacular, quiet, and secluded; but only minutes away from fine restaurants and a multitude of outdoor recreational activities. Our location on the opposite side of Screamer from Clayton gives you a view of the Chattahoochee National Forest and Warwoman Wildlife Management Area that is largely devoid of human presence. Panoramic, awesome views are yours from the windows and decks on all 3 levels of Halfway to Heaven. With over 2,000 sq.ft. of living space, you'll have plenty of room to relax and feel at home. The upstairs is devoted entirely to the Master bedroom and bath, with its own deck, king bed, whirlpool tub by the window, shower, minibar, and even a digital piano! The main level has a 2 car carport (overflow parking is available). The living room has a flat screen HD TV with Dish network, DVD/VCR, and free wireless high speed Internet. The sofa and love seat have built-in recliners, and an electric fireplace can be enjoyed year round. The main level bedroom has a half bath and a full sized sofa sleeper. Part of the deck has been screened and sports a Pawley’s Island hammock and tables and chairs for outside dining. A grill is available in the carport, and the kitchen is fully outfitted. The dining area has seating for 8, and counter stools for 2. We are "kid friendly" as well, with a strap - in high chair, porta-crib/playpen, and a chest of toys. You'll also find a selection of books, games, VCR's and DVD's for entertainment. The lower level has 2 bedrooms with queen beds, a full bath, an expansive shared deck, and a laundry room. If you are looking for a very comfortable, fully equipped, mountaintop hideaway with awesome views, look no further! Enjoy breathtaking sunrises and enchanting afternoons as you watch the mountain shadows deepen. The view changes from minute to minute as the sun angle and clouds change. Even rainy days can provide spectacular sights from our vantage point.
