An immaculate home in a gated community which offers activities and entertainment for families, children, and adults year round!
This is a modest house which provides a comfy home-away-from-home atmosphere. The layout is quite roomy! The home is entered on the first floor through the oversized deck. The deck is a common gathering place for family entertaining and summer bar-b-queing. Once inside, you will find a brick fireplace, two bedrooms, a bathroom, a living room, card table, and a free standing bar on the first floor. As you enter the second floor through the open stairs, there is an additional family room, kitchen with counter seating, two bedrooms, and a bathroom. A large balcony is located off the kitchen area on the second floor. Here you can enjoy meals, have your morning coffee, relax and take in the beautiful scenery-you may even see deer as they walk through the woods! There are 3 queen sized beds, 2 single beds. There is a small futon on the first floor (suitable for 2 children or one adult).
There is a large shed in the backyard to store your bikes in the summertime and skis and snowboards during the winter months. Renters need to bring their own linens.
During the summer, the home is located only a few houses from the heated pool (Arrowhead has three pools), tennis courts, game area, and snack bar. It’s a short walk to two of the four beaches/playgrounds surrounding Arrowhead Lake. Here, you can take a refreshing dip in the lake, fish (the lake is stocked in April), or rent non-motorized boats and paddle boats. Only a short drive away, you can horseback ride, go whitewater rafting, ride quads at Jack Frost/Big Boulder, and visit Camel Beach (an outdoor water park). About three miles away, there is a family fun center with arcade games, a trampoline, paintball, go karts, miniature golf, bumper cars and delicious, oversized ice cream treats! If you don't mind a scenic drive, you can take the family to Knoebels, which is under an hour away and easy to get to. There, you will find amusement rides and 2 world-class roller coasters on a budget!
In the winter, hit the slopes (Jack Frost/Big Boulder is about 10 minutes away and Camelback is about 25 minutes), visit the Crossing Outlets (where you will find bargains for everyone!), the local restaurants or cozy up to the warmth of the fireplace. There is a free sledding hill located in Arrowhead for those not yet ready to brave the slopes. The hill is appropriate for all ages and sledders assume all risks.
In the fall, come and see the beuatiful colors of the season or take a hayride. Arrowhead Lakes is also close to the state game lands.
Spring is a nice and quiet time to visit the Poconos! We are close to Blakeslee Flea Market and the casinos are a short ride away. You can go whitewater rafting or visit Bushkill Falls for some hiking.
If you venture outside the Arrowhead Community, nearby there are many annual events, including; wine-fest, pocono races, International Brewing Festival, Jazz festival, the bike show, Celtic Music Festival, and much more. You may even want to try your luck at the newly opened casinos, a short drive away.
This all-season house is a great get-away for couples or families and a wonderful place to spend the holidays, too. Whether you choose to have a relaxing retreat or an adventure packed vacation, you are sure to have many wonderful memories in our lovely home. Don't delay... Reservations on this home fill up quickly!
Arrowhead Lakes charges $25 for registered cars and badges/fees may be required to attend events. There is a $75 and up for cleaning fee (depending on length of stay). Security Deposit is required and will be returned within 15 days of check out and inspection of the home, providing there are no damages and keys are returned. Renters must be 25 and older to rent the property. NO SMOKING IS PERMITTED IN THE HOME. NO PETS ARE PERMITTED.
