Bonnie Acres is in Cavendish National Park just a short drive to several fabulous golf courses, shopping, restaurants, Anne of Green Gables House and all the fun of Cavendish without the hustle and bustle.
The cottage has two bedrooms, queen in one, bunkbed, and single bed in the other. We supply all quality linens, bedding, beach and bath towels. Our open concept kitchen, dining and living room make it perfect for both gourmet and family entertainment. Walk to private beach...

First and foremost, I would like to thank Daphne (owner of the cottage) for all of her helpful tips and answers concerning the cottage and its surroundings in Cavendish. If you haven't already researched and seen photos of PEI, then I will describe it as a little peace of heaven on earth. The country side is magnificent; and the shoreline is beautiful beyond description. The colors of the red dunes against the blue ocean and bright green grass and trees is simply breath-taking. The cottage is nestled in a very private and serene area not too far (but still with a sense of privacy) from two other cottages whose owners are extremely amicable and very pet-friendly. The cottage itself is quaint and very characteristic, embellished with country decor. To our surprise, it was like a home away from home. It was fully stocked with dish ware; cutlery; linens; towels; and even dish and laundry detergent. As a family of five, we spent most of our evenings bbq'ing and enjoying our dinners outside on the picnic table. Once in a while, we would even have guest foxes and jackrabbits walk through the property. Although there really isn't a direct view of the ocean because of the trees surrounding the property, one could actually hear the waves from the outside of the house... The walk to the beach did not take more than 10 minutes, and on most days, it felt like the beach was all ours. We needed to detach from the everyday city hustle and bustle, so we really appreciated the calmness and serenity of our location. But we also took some time to go to the local grocery store; the nearby fishery; the drive-in movie theater; the flee market; and downtown Charlottetown. From where we were, we could actually enjoy the best of both worlds. As a side-note, though, if you feel the need to relax by watching tv, cable does not seem to be provided. There is a radio, though. You should stay in formed on weather conditions before traveling, as we were caught by surprise with a stormy weather, and unusually cold temperatures during our first two days there.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.
