We had a wonderful time on our vacation to the Oregon coast. Your house was perfect for our 3 families and there was nothing else that was needed to make this a wonderful family reunion. We loved the tidal pools at low tide, the campfire every night and watching people and their dogs interact freely on the beach. We do not have the privilege of enjoying these things on the New Jersey beaches. Here we have lots of people, no dogs and no campfires allowed. Oh, did I mention we also pay to go on the beach. Also while our temperatures at home were in the high 90s we enjoyed the cool Oregon temperatures. The proximity to Cannon Beach was great for restaurants and shopping. We traveled from St. Louis to spend a few days at the beach with family who live in Portland. Markham Lane was perfect! The location was truly spectacular; as close to the beach as you can get, very private and yet still near to Manzanita and Cannon Beach for shopping and dining. The kids loved the sleeping loft, complete with TV and DVD player. The rest of the accommodations were clean and comfortable, perfect for six adults. The master bedroom was even big enough to add a queen-size air mattress for my younger son so we didn't have to worry about him navigating the spiral stairs in the night. The kitchen had everything we needed and we thoroughly enjoyed the gorgeous view from the dining/living area. We will certainly look in to a returning to this house next time we are in Arch Cape!

My family with adult kids and one grandchild had a wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable stay at Markham Lane. The guest house is a real advantage. We had all our meals together in the generous dining area, and we enjoyed sitting by the fire and watching a movie together in the living room. The view of the ocean is fantastic, and we had direct access to the beach. It's a great place for a family week-end.

Sometimes photos make a house look closer to the beach than it really is, but this house it truly right on the ocean, with the waves filling the huge view out the back windows and deck. Truly a beautiful spot. There is a small creek a hundred yards down the beach that our small children loved to play in and lots of tide pools. The house was beautifully maintained and very stylishly decorated. Highly recommended.

This house was booked by my good friend L. Hughes for our weekend in Oregon and we had a wonderful stay. The house is immaculate and with a stunning location. A wonderful time was had by all in our party.
