Charleston voted Conde Nast's number one world travel destination. Enjoy the world-class amenities of at Wild Dunes Resort from the most desirable neighborhood in Wild Dunes, Seaside in the Grand Pavilion. Serenity–by-the-Sea, a Victorian beach cottage re-creation, is set among white picket fences with its own rose garden. Located on a quiet, palm tree-lined cul-de-sac only 100 walking steps from the beach in the most sought-after area of the resort. The home’s architecture evokes a simpler, quieter, relaxed atmosphere to allow enhanced enjoyment of Wild Dunes island living and Charleston’s deep historic tradition.
This 2200-square-foot home, built oversized by the developer, features an open floor plan broken only by the wood-burning fireplace. The main living area, featuring 10-foot ceilings, includes a living room, dining room and kitchen opening to the largest screen porch in Seaside. The porch is large enough for lounging and dining under two ceiling fans and two large skylights.
This spacious house features three bedrooms; two master suites with private baths - one with king bed, the second with queen bed. One master includes a large sitting area with its own TV and DVD player. The third bedroom, located just off the living room, shares the bath that opens to the living area. All beds come complete with luxurious 600 thread-count cotton sheets.
Porches are the central theme of all the Seaside houses. A large front porch with old-fashioned rocking chairs and porch swing is perfect for greeting friends and neighbors walking by on their way to all the social activities at the nearby Grand Pavilion. The expansive back screened porch is perfect for outdoor dining and lounging in softly-cushioned sofas and chairs while still having enough room for the oversized hammock. Even in inclement weather the screen porch offers plenty of space to snooze or read a book while listening to the rain on the tin roof. Eight sets of French doors provide abundant light and access from all rooms to one of the porches.
No vacation home is complete without the required entertainment accessories. A flat screen TV with high-definition cable service in the living room, and flat screeen TVs in both masters allow everyone to view their favorite programming. Wireless high-speed Internet access is included, keeping email available to those who need it.
Staying within the gated community of Wild Dunes affords great relaxation for family members of all ages. A Sportscard is provided to access Wild Dunes Resort Amenities. Seaside guests also enjoy access to three Grand Pavilion pools and Wild Dunes newly refurbished beaches just steps away. Whether relaxing on the beach, at the pool, or enjoying iced island drinks at the Grand Pavilion, there is something for everyone during your relaxing visit in South Carolina’s Low Country.

'The house is fabulous - very comfortable and accommodating. It feels like we are sitting in a friend's home not a rental! Our daughter had some girlfriends come visit and we loved eating and talking on the fabulous screen porch. Thank-you for the fresh flowers and evereything you did to make our stay so special. We would love to come back and stay again.' Mike and Linda - Lynchburg, Va.
'Thank you so much for sharing your lovely cottage. We felt like we were visiting someone's home rather than renting a vacation cottage. Your love for this home is very apparent, and we loved it as well. We hope to return, if you'll have us. Thanks again. It was a pleasure to meet you! The fresh roses were wonderful! You're the best!' Larry and Jan - Cleveland, Ohio

Our family met at Serenity for a week long stay. The owners really DO mean that everything is provided as there was plenty of everything that we needed...beach towels, a stocked spice rack, enough paper products to last the week, etc. Just bring your clothes, toiletries and groceries. Serenity is cozy, very comfortable, has an amazing screened porch, perfect "beachy" decor, and is very spacious. The layout of the home was perfect for us, as each of the 3 bedrooms is private. Our oldest daughter has a 2 year old and 3 month old and we never even heard the baby crying at night from their room. The beach walk is just across the street from the driveway and a short stroll to the beach, the children's playground, bike rentals, alligator and turtle pond, tennis and swim center is a short stroll in the opposite direction so we were perfectly situated. The owners' go out of their way to make everything perfect, from the home being very clean to providing an assortment of magazines and books. We loved our week and will return...which is the best review a home can have:-) Deb in Hot Springs, NCRecommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

We have toddlers and a little one and we loved playing on the beach. The beachhouse and the beach so the close proximity to the beach was perfect so we took turns babysitting and playing outside. It was just perfect! The Pavilion pools we loved along with the spacious screened-in-porch and we loved the hammock in it! We love your beachhouse, it feels like HOME! Thank-you for sharing this wonderful place with us! We hope to be back soon!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Thank-you for so graciously for sharing your beautiful Beach House. You made us feel so welcome and provided more than everything we would ever need. Your home was so well equipped, we didn't need a thing! We loved walking that beautiful beach! We felt very happy here, refreshed and relaxed! Loved to cook in your kitchen and grill out, using the WIFI, swinging on the front porch swing, loved the screened-in-porch and lots of good Charleston area books while here. Really enjoyed dinner in Charleston, Walking Tour of Charleston (superb!), visiting Art Museums, Historical Mansions, visiting the Hunley Submarine, shopping on King Street and golfing here on the Island!!!! Many, many, thanks We look forward to returning year after year and will dream of it and the Ocean until we return. Many, Many, Thanks.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Loved your Pink Beachhouse so much! Loved the beautiful Isle of Palms and the glorious sunsets on the beach! Toured the Sullivans Island Lighthouse, the Yorktown and Metal of Honor Museum on it. Shopping in downtown Charleston, dining in wonderful reasurants and loving the historical homes and churches in the Holy City. Walking your huge beach and collecting shells, watching the ships out at Sea come into the Harbor of Charleston! Reading Charleston books on your wonderful porch while husband grilled out on your patio! A home by the Sea how sweet it is!!! Thank-you so much for sharing your piece of Heaven!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

What a warm personal welcome you bring when arriving to "SERENITY- BY-THE-SEA"!!! Its truly the best, especially all the explanation about the features in the house. What really BLEW ME AWAY was how well all the amenities and kitchen items you have. I didn't need to bring them from home!!! THIS IS BETTER THAN A 5 STAR RITZ CARLTON AND FAIRMONT HOTEL. We have been coming to Charleston since 1992 but your home is the most beautiful and cozy especially with the yard set up and porches!!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

The Unique Benefits at this House:
We are oceanside in the Seaside section of the Grand Pavilion. Near enough -- less than 5 minutes walk -- to the main area of the pavilion to enjoy the pools (which only Seaside Grand Pavilion renters are now allowed to use in the daytime), evening music and entertainment and the grand pavilion cafe and bar -- but far enough away-- to still retain the quiet and solitude for true relaxation. We are also within 5 minutes walk to the center of the resort including The Lettered Olive, Hudson's Market, the tennis center and the Harbor golf shop. You don't need to get in the car to enjoy most of Wild Dunes finest
