This wonderful modern 2-bedroom apartment located on the world known Promenade des Anglais has a magnificent front sea view from the balcony. It is on the sixth floor, it is spacious, bright, well furnished with a table and 4 chairs in the balcony where you can have a wonderful breakfast while watching the blue sea. The living room has 2 long sofas in the living room, a television set, with beautiful tile flooring, 2 new fully tiled bathrooms and a modern fully-equipped kitchen with a table and 4 chairs and a small balcony with a view of the hills in Nice. There is central air-conditioning from the building.
The beach is just across the street whenever you feel like taking a dip. There are also beach restaurants and spas nearby. There is a public swimming facility across the street from the back of the apartment which reopened in October 2010 after a three-year renovation. It has an olympic size swimming pool and other amenities inside the building. It is a 10 minute bus ride to the city centre and the bus stop is just across the back entrance. There are shops, restaurants, bakeries and supermarkets which are walking distance from the apartment. One does not need a car in this location but there is also ample street parking everywhere. Public buses are in abundance whether it is to go shopping or sightseeing from Monaco to Cannes at a low cost of 1 Euro each way.
In the winter time one can go skiing in the nearby Alps in the morning which is one hour by car and then enjoy a relaxing afternoon on the beach. The train station is a 7 minute bus ride with a convenient bus stop on the street at the back of the building.
Nice is a city that never sleeps. There are activities all throughout the year - marathon in January, Carnival in February, Nice-Paris Bike Race in March, Iron Man in June, Jazz Festival in July and of course the beach is very popular during the summer months. There are wonderful museums to visit, night clubs and casinos, international restaurants everywhere and boutiques galore if you like shopping and the list goes on...

For anyone wishing to visit Nice, or to use Nice as a base to explore the Cote D'Azur this apartment is ideal. The apartment is exactly as described in the VRBO description, the situation is excellent, right on the Promenade Des Anglais and close to the following amenities, bus stop with regular service into Nice and beyond, several restaurants, an excellent boulangerie and small but well stocked supermarket and easy access to and from the airport. We were four adults ranging in age from 44 to 75 and we all enjoyed the apartment which we used as a base to not only explore Nice but Eze, Villefranche -sur-Mer and Monaco and our concensus is that we can recommend this apartment without any reservation whatsoever. Excellently appointed flat in superb position. Lots to do in the area and public transport very efficient and cheap. Travel as far as the other side of Monte Carlo for just one Euro! Everything in the appartment that you could need, all kept spotlessly clean and with a very friendly and helpful owner. Although we had a busy week, we still have lots we would like to see and we will be back.

Maria, We want you to know how great our week was in your condo, we are still talking about what a wonderful time we had. It was everything you said it would be and more. The view was incredible, we would sit on the balcony for hours. The location was perfect, we walked everywhere, the beach and beach restaurants out the front door, a 20 minute walk out the back door and we were in the tourist zone, a few more minutes and old Nice.
