A Perfect Week in Tuscany.

The house was a perfect setting for our trip to Italy. The remodel was amazing, especially the kitchen. All four of us like to cook and the kitchen set-up was perfect. The house also has the special advantage of being very close to the best market in the area. Great meats, cheeses, bread, tomatoes, olive oil, wine... what more could you ask! The location worked very well for touring out each day, too. Assisi was a special treat, but day trips to Montalcino, Sienna, and small wineries were easy to access. Our last evening was spent at a wine paring dinner that was recommended by our cooking instructor, Shirley Ofria. We really felt that we were a part of Cortona.

We just recently returned from spending 3 weeks in Italy and were fortunate enough to spend 8 of those days at the lovely Casa Sant 'Angelo. What a perfect place to come "home" to each day after exploring the beauty of Cortona and the surrounding areas. The house is perfectly equipped and full of comfort and charm. It was a great set up for us as we had 3 generations with us. The grounds allowed our 5 year old grandbabies room to run and play after a full day of exploring while the Annex allowed our adult daughter her own space to "escape" when she wanted to. The home is comfortably furnished with great linens and comfortable beds. The kitchen is perfectly equipped for preparing a lovely meal after a full day. The luxury of a washer and dryer made traveling with kids so much easier. The yard has a great area for dinning outside in the lovely weather. Thanks to Marie for sharing her home with us...it was perfect!

I have just read all the other reviews and I cannot add anything except to say it was fabulous. When I first saw the listing ,the queen and king brds caught my attention. All our 22 guests commented on how comfortable the bed were. The owners, staff were very helpful and friendly and info and photos were very accurate and holpful. Walking to Cortona through Sant Angelo,40 min, was a special treat.Kept the weight off.I would not hesitate to recommend this property. I am missing it dearly just writing about it. Cortona is a great town, plus in three years it will have a Gary Player designed golf coarse.

Our stay at the Casa Sant' Angelo could not have been more pleasant and relaxing. The villa was exactly as described in all the pictures. Clean, very well-maintained. The owner's could not have been more accommodating with all our questions. It was great to relax and layout by the pool during the day and see the mountains in the background. The Villa's location was perfect for us, we were only an hour drive from Florence and all the shopping and in the town itself on top of mountain was a great area filled with cafe's and stores. We were also a short distance ( 30 min) from the vineyards. We highly recommend the villa and all the town of Cortona has to offer.

We just returned from Marie and Tony's beautiful casa in the country. Everything was just as pictured with lovely touches, clean and modern. Bedroom was our favorite, a king size bed, very comfortable and inviting with Screens on the upstairs windows. Our cleaner, Clara did a great job and the property manager, Andrea and Marie were free to asnwer questions and give us directions and recommendations. It was truly a memorable trip to Tuscany.

A perfect place for enjoying beautiful views, exploring ancient towns, and savoring delicious meals and wines. The villa is equipped with all the necessary amenities needed to make eight adults perfectly contented. Only five minutes from Cortona with a gorgeous view of the Tuscanny Valley below. There is a wonderful market that has fresh meats, cheeses, vegetables, and staples, within walking distance. The train to Rome is ten minutes away. Excellent taxi service is always available.

The villa was a beautiful place to visit. It was tastefully decorated, had a well appointed kitchen, and wonderful, comfortable beds. After visiting Rome, staying in cramped rooms with stiff beds, this was an extra bonus. If you want a sense of the Tuscan life, this afford a brief glimpse into the people and their daily lives. Be sure to visit the corner grocery. The owner and his sister are only too happy to accomodate you, and their meat and cheese selections are delicious. We walked on several occasions and had to be careful, as the road is very narrow in parts. St. Michael the Archangel's beautiful church circa 1013, is just a short walk across the main road. To visit Cortona, you need transportation. We used a rental car and taxi service. The Antica Trattoria, which opened at 7:30P.M for dinner, was a good place, and we purchased wines at the Enotecca Molesini. Both are in Cortona. Be aware everything shuts down between 1:30 and 4:30 everyday. We took that time to relax at the villa. We enjoyed watching the enthusiasm of the cleaning lady as she fluffed pillows at the window, threw the duvets over the railing, and swept the property. This villa should appeal to the majority of travelers.

We just came home after 2 weeks in a marvelous villa in the Tuscany region of Italy. While retaining the outside characteristics of the 300 year old farm hours, Tony and Marie renovated their home with style and attention to details. The inside of this 3 bedroom, 3 baths two-story house and the annex offer a very modern design and a most relaxing atmosphere. From the comfortable beds to the extra thick duvets; from the large bathrooms equipped to the latest luxury, including bidets in each bathrom, you find yourself in very pleasant surroundings. Wood is provided for the 2 fireplaces. The houses are airconditioned during the summer. There is a large pool. A washer and dryer are on the premises. All the amenities are included; bedding, linens, dishes and kitchen appliances. The extra benefits include a TV and DVD and access to the internet. From morning to night, we see different views of the hills and valleys close to CORTONA, in the heart of Tuscany. A well stocked market is conveniently within walking distance. Cortona, a three century town is very picturesque, with many restaurants, wine shops and little boutiques. There are many paths to walk and the town offers a friendly social atmosphere. Cortona is 2 hours by train from Roma, and 1 hour from Florence. This is a place to come back to. The large rooms, included 2 kitchens and a dining room would be ideal for a family of 8 or some very good friends. You can cook, pick up foods or go out whenever you feel like it. And the entire property calls you to relax, enjoy and renew your spirits.
