Hickory Nut Hideaway Cottage has beautiful mountain views. Rock in the swing under the covered porch downstairs or sun yourself on the deck upstairs. The cottage has a queen-size bed in the upstairs bedroom with an additional TV, full-size bed in the bedroom downstairs, futon in the living room, sofabed in the sitting room, and a rollaway bed.
For your comfort and convenience, there is a washer and dryer, fully-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, fireplace, jetted tub in bath, charcoal grill, picnic table, and firepit outside for roasting marshmallows and hotdogs. This cottage has been completely remodeled in 2003.
Centrally located to many attractions that bring you to the mountains. Hike Chimney Rock Park with its 404-foot waterfall, explore Biltmore Estate, take a boat ride on Lake Lure where Dirty Dancing was filmed, ride the Blue Ridge Parkway with its breathtaking views, see a live play at the Flat Rock Playhouse, or shop the many craft and antique shops nearby. There is also tubing, canoeing, and white-water rafting in summer and skiing and snow tubing in winter.
Enjoy the amenities at Mountain Meadows Motel a short walk or drive away. You can swim and fish in the large pond, ride a paddleboat, rowboat, play basketball, volleyball, badminton, horseshoes or soak in the outdoor hot tub.
