We stayed at this property for 4 nights and found it suited all our needs. It is at the backdoor of Heavenly and less then 5 minute drive. Only thing is that it is on the stagecoach loop, so you have to circle around the one way route every time going back. The property wasn't huge but wasn't small. All the appliances, heaters (main areas and all rooms), water, wifi worked well. The hot water lasted us about 3-4 showers in a row, the last starting to get a bit cold (men and women). When we spaced out the showers a little, we all had plenty. The TV could be a bit bigger and the decor is a bit dated, but that really didn't bother us that much and we spent most evenings in south lake tahoe area anyways. All the other necessities and utensils were provided of course and it was great having a small washer/dryer inside. The price was also extremely fair compared to others. The owner is very pleasant to deal with and was always available by phone and email.

Disappointing Condo.

I booked this condo having read the description which stated "You will love the charm of this condominium with new furniture and furnishings." This was wholly misleading and on arrival we found a rather run down and shoddy condo with numerous maintenance issues. Immediate issue was there were just 6 coat hangers in a 3 bed condo! The front door allowed a gale to enter the condo and right into the seating area, I refuse to call it a lounge. Plastic bags were needed for 2 days to try and keep them at bay. There was little hot water as the temperature had been set so low that a single shower used it all. A bath was impossible. There was a vacuum cleaner with an amateur electrical wire repair that was downright dangerous and a washing machine that did not spin and so left everything soaking wet.  The furnishings were new.....once, but it was a very long time ago and the miniature kitchenette was fine for breakfast but not much more. Then again the dining table took up most of the seating area space when more than 2 wanted to sit down. There was however plenty of plates,bowls,glasses and cooking utensils and a very effective dishwasher but not a single dishwasher tablet. The beds were uncomfortable and old but the towels we're new and very nice.  The TVs, and there were two, we're ancient and there  was even a video player for those not yet engaged with the early 21st century. There was also a DVD player and the small library of books consisting of 1970 editions of readers digest books. The was also a cd player which we did not use. The heating system was ancient also and the heater it he living room sounded like a 747 taking off when it kicked in. We found that keeping warm and being able to talk or watch TV at the same time was best done  with a roaring log fire  in the hearth. Otherwise the noise was unbearable. The view from the balcony was stunning both day and night. At night the stars we're in abundance and thanks to the Internet connection they could be named and spotted using iPad apps. It was wonderful. Not so wonderful was the rather wobbly balcony rail which given the drop, was frankly dangerous. The owner to his credit responded to our concerns but we got home to find the solution to the door issue resulted in the locks not working and the door left open! Th washing machine never worked. In all a big disappointment.  The door problem was also seen too, but we returned home to find the door had been open as the locks

Owner response:The photos of the unit are accurate and up to date as to the condition.We do everything to make certain guests enjoy their stay. This is not a 5 star condo. Rather one to relax & enjoy the beauty of Tahoe and its many activities. The washing machine did not spin due to lid switch failure. The Appliance tech ordered & replaced the "lid switch".It works fine. Upon notice, we purchased 30 coat hangers & delivered them in a few hours. The handyman said the seal at the bottom of the door had worn down enough to let cold air seep in. The total door seal was replaced. The next day handyman made a final adjustment. A 50 gallon water heater for the condo was set to 140F as recommended. After the complaint, I had the temperature raised to 160 F. We spoke with the guests about length of showers. I recommend being considerate of others if there are a lot of people. Measure/stagger shower times. The dining table in the dining area seats 6. Furniture is clean & in good shape. We recommend all guests bring or pick up any necessities at the mini-market near the condo. We provide sample hair shampoos, lotion, books, etc. as a courtesy. The vacuum cleaner needed to have the bag emptied. The maintenance company should have checked it. They delivered a temporary for use for 1 day. We purchased & delivered a new bagless vacuum next day 9AM. For heating, use the fireplace or wall-mounted gas heater. Each bedroom has its own electrical heat & controls. You will not have an issue with heating. We responded, as is our policy, immediately to every complaint as fast as we could. Since the guests that wrote a negative review have left we have had 2 other families stay and have had nothing but compliments. We regret the guests from England did not like the condo. In the 20 years that this condo has been rented by us we have had just 3 complaints, which is 3 too many. We are deleting the word "new furniture" in our listing. We do try hard to make people understand what they are renting. We send 15 photos to every inquiry. The Ritz Carlton - it is not !! A fun, cozy, mountain condo in a great location with a fabulous view..it is.. and for a very reasonable rate.

Six of our friends stayed at this charming condo for three days. The condo was comfortable and roomy and had all amenities we needed, from cooking devices to organic bath products. At first we were concerned that we picked a rather busy weekend to ride and parking would be an issue; but this condo is conveniently located just a few minutes from the Stagecoach gondola and we actually were able to walk between the two locations. Not to mention the close accessibility of the public shuttle allowed us to safely travel back and forth to the all the Tahoe nightlife. The place was very clean, had a relaxed appeal and was perfect for a long weekend getaway vacation. Overall I would definitely say that we would stay again! THE PRICE CAN NOT BE BEAT!!! The owner was such a pleasure to work with and even with a mishap of with an appropriated key, he was eager to help and was swift to respond to any and all of our questions.
