"My wife and I honeymooned here and I must say the Villa and staff were simply amazing. We have traveled to this part of Costa Rica a few times before but this was the best trip and vacation rental we have stayed in by far. The Villa is in a great location, just a short walk to the beach and has everything one could possibly need and much more. I just can't say enough good things about the place, we will be back next year without a doubt. Pura Vida!"Guest: Buford N. Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: July 21, 2014View listing
"This vacation rental was a perfect fit for our group. We hosted a yoga retreat at this Villa. The layout is great. It gave everyone the option to have a private room and bathroom and each room came with 2 queen beds, with A/C. There was a large covered outdoor common area for dining and hanging out. The pool was nice. There was also a great outdoor space for us to do yoga and a quant deck overlooking the ocean for mediation. Marcela, the housekeeper, cooked 2 meals a day for our entire group of 13 people. She cooked Costa Rican meals and provided vegetarian and vegan options. The house is merely footsteps from the ocean. We could hear the waves crashing at night while sleeping, it was beautiful. Monkeys were found playing in the trees outside the house a couple time. This house has a local, rustic feel. It's perfectly located in walking or biking distance to Tamarindo and Playa Grande. I would without a doubt offer another retreat here. The property was a great size for large groups. Nova was very helpful in making sure we had everything, from board rentals to massages and airport transportation."Guest: Zen Yogini Date of Stay: November 2014 Review Submitted: November 17, 2014View listing
"This morning, again we woke to birdsong and monkeys in the treetops. From our open air perch on Craig ( Kai’s ) ridge, I stood and looked around at blue skies over the hills. In the background the sound of perpetually rolling surf. Our son just returned from an early morning surf session at Playa Grande, a short walk down a lovely path from the door of our comfortable Casa Linda Vista. Our eighth day is much the same as the first. Welcomed by our very helpful and informative hosts we found Casa Linda Vista to be clean and spacious within easy walking distance of entertaining nightspots and simple marketing. The atmosphere is unhurried and friendly. The published descriptions and reviews are accurate and recommend Craig ( Kai ) and Ruth’s property for anyone seeking quiet comfort within easy reach of everything a vacation should be. Our son has set out breakfast. Another day of Pura Vida. "Just take one step from the balcony, and you are right on the sandy beach. If you love the beach & glorious sunsets, this is definitely the place to be. The house is large, spacious, and well-designed. The kitchen has all the appliances one would need. Lots and lots of room for a large party. My husband and I stayed 5 weeks; some friends visited with us for 2 weeks. Owners were available via email or text messaging to respond to questions. Playa Grande is a great location to serve as base for further exploration to the many nature excursions available. I think of Casa Blanca as I would a fading Southern Belle who would greatly benefit from a trip to the spa. She's beautiful; but a makeover would really make her sparkle. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you Philip and Dee for sharing your home. Thanks to Magda & Tanya for alerting us to the howler monkey activity in the trees nearby. Thank you neighbor Juan Carlos for inside information on local doings."Guest: Nature Lover Date of Stay: January 2014 Review Submitted: March 4, 2014View listing

Playa Grande Resorts and the Life of the Sea Turtle
Playa Grande resorts and Guanacaste Province are most notable for the endangered leatherback sea turtles that visit each year. These turtles struggle up the sand from the ocean to lay their eggs. If you cannot make the nesting season, try to come 55 to 75 days after the nesting occurs. During this time, you can walk from Playa Grande Beach rentals to witness the baby turtles emerging from the sand to crawl into the sea.
Surf Vacations in Costa Rica
Vacations in Costa Rica to Playa Grande are also notable for their surfing. The main beach at Playa Grande will see waves of varying heights for all skill levels of surfers. This beach is a lot quieter than Playa Tamarindo though equally as good. You will have to be an early riser most mornings to leave Playa Grande resorts for the ocean waves beckoning you.
