"Thank you so much for sharing your vacation home with us! My husband, myself, and our 2 sons (7 yrs old and 5 yrs old) stayed at your place last week. Your home was beautiful, spacious, very clean, and not to mention well stocked with all the amenities we could have dreamed of! The house was much bigger than what we needed for just our little family, it was so great having all of that room instead of being crammed in a tiny hotel room/suite or condo for a week :) The boys had the entire upstairs to themselves, which they really enjoyed (so did adults!) My husband and I love to cook and when we were not checking out the island eateries we dined in taking advantage of the well supplied kitchen, grill, dining room, and breakfast nook. (Favorite eateries were Sliders, Arte's Pizza, Salty Pelican, & Great Harvest Brad Company). The beds were very comfortable and like the entire house the bedrooms, bathrooms, and closets were SO roomy! Boy did we ever over pack for this trip! Your place truly did have everything for a beach trip- bikes, coolers, beach chairs, umbrellas, beach toys, beach towels. It was also well stocked with bath towels, paper towels, toilet paper, napkins, dishes, pots & pans- you name it! The neighborhood pool was absolutely gorgeous, we spent just about every evening there cooling off and relaxing after long days at the beach and/or sightseeing. The location was great, right down the street from the Ritz and the Omni. It was an easy trip to the Peter’s Point Beach access, plus we explored the island beach access a bit as well visiting Fort Clinch, American Beach, and the Main beach). We enjoyed all of the beaches but Peter's Point and Fort Clinch's beach access were our favorites. Also easy distance big stores like Publix, Harris Teeter, Winn Dixie, Target, Walmart, and Starbucks to make you feel at home coupled with plenty of unique Mom & Pa type businesses and lots of unique gift shops were available in the Fernandina historical area. The island itself is very rich in history, we enjoyed tours of the Amelia Island history museum, the history museum's ghost tour, Fort Clinch's tour/museum, and a boat tour of Cumberland Island. Gary & Tomi were a pleasure to work with during the rental process and went out of their way to respond to emails from us during our stay while they were on a vacation of their own. If our travels bring us to Amelia Island again, we’d definitely stay at your place again (and pack lighter!!!)"
