The renovation of the building wanted to preserve the peculiar nature of the place, its history and large size.
Particularly noteworthy are the precious frescoed vaults and the exposed stone walls: the floors are made of wood, while the doors, windows and furniture are made of wood and wrought iron and the ceilings are frescoed with decorations from the end of the 19th century.

The fixtures are of the latest generation so as to isolate the apartment from the noise of the outside.

The apartment is located on the first floor without lift of a 19th century building in Via Carlo Alberto, the main street in the historic center of Alghero.

The city of Alghero

In the historic center of Alghero between narrow alleys and imposing walls, the Civic square opens with the cathedral of S. Maria and the church of San Francesco. The Civic Theater, the town square. Here throughout the year the life of the Catalan town takes place, in the frame of a review of concerts and shows.

To visit the surroundings of Alghero, you are spoiled for choice, among places of historical, archaeological, architectural, naturalistic and food and wine interest.

The house is located a stone's throw from the sea

A few hundred meters away is the marina, with numerous excursions by boat or to the Caves of Neptune, the equipped beach of Lido San Giovanni and the wonderful sea of the Pineta di Maria Pia.

How to get:

To reach Alghero you can go directly to Alghero / Fertilia airport which is 12 km from our house or you can get to Olbia 156 km away or decide to arrive in Cagliari 250 km away.

You can also reach Sardinia by ferry, arriving in Porto Torres, Olbia, Cagliari.

Wine, oil and gastronomy

In addition, in Alghero and the surrounding area you will find an excellent wine, produced in the local vineyards, you will find a wide choice of wines at the social winery of Santa Maria la Palma or at the Cantine Sella and Mosca, and of course the restaurant with typical products of the area, such as the artichokes.
