A Georgian Town House of charm, character for rental on a full house self catering basis. Sleeps upto 12 persons.

Full Kitchen facilities, garden, outside areas, drawing room, Dining Room, Lounge and six bedrooms and six bathrooms.

Situated in the village of Rothbury on the edge of the Northumberland National Park and situated a mile from Craigside Estate.

The village which has various amenities on your door step including pubs and shops.

An ideal base to explore the attractions of Northumberland's many castles, historic sites and coastline.

Our aim is to offer a rather special place to stay, providing simple elegance and unrivalled comfort. Casual but refined, understated but with luxurious touches in an environment that is a true home away from home.

The Orchard House dates back to 1790 and displays a wealth of period features. The Orchard House is a great choice to celebrate that special occasion or to simply enjoy a relaxing break with extended families or friends.
Lovely country walk and those into The Cheviots can be taken from Orchard House.
Our Manager in Rothbury, Karen is available to help you make your stay as enjoyable as possible.There is now a key box for property entrance so you are abl eto arrive at a time that suits you. Karen will guide you through this process.
She can also brief you "virtually" so there is no need for any face to face interactions during your stay. unless you require it.

It has six bedrooms and six bathroom facilities in addition to a cloakroom, drawing room, sitting room, dining room, and Kitchen. Set over three floors this house is a great choice to celebrate that special occasion or simply enjoy a relaxing break with extended families or friends.
Lovely country walk and those into The Cheviot hills can be taken from Orchard House.
River walks and Golf are within walking of the property.

From Newcastle drive 45 mins and an hour and a half from Edinburgh

It was a great space for 12 friends with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

The house was easy to relax in. It was easy to access everything we needed on foot and was a perfect base from which to visit places like Cragside and Craster .

a wonderful house for a family party

The house was well equipped for lots of people. We enjoyed all the bedrooms with en suites and the children loved the huge big bath. The house was very well situated with shops, chippy and pubs near by but also close to so many other places

Fabulous town centre location with access to beaches, castles and hills

House was ideally situated for exploring Northumberland on the Main Street of a pretty town. 6 beds and 6 bathrooms was a real plus as was Karen (extremely helpful caretaker). Only downside is much if the interior is tired.

House was fabulous for our group of twelve,lots of room and plenty facilities.Great bedrooms all ensuite. We were there when storm Arwen hit and Karen was wonderful in making sure we had everything we could possibly need. Communication before and after our stay was excellent. The town and area are wonderful and all our party would highly recommend Orchard House.

Lovely house in a great location

Large cosy house and very well equipped although could have done with another fridge. Loved the dimensions of all the rooms with a touch of faded grandeur. Living area lovely. Limited outside area and in need of TLC but overall very good stay. Host was brilliant with responses.

Perfect house for a group in a fabulous location

The house was fabulous for a group, every room had its own bathroom. Karen was very helpful both before our arrival and a couple of queries she responded immediately. Location is great with plenty of pubs / food / shops on doorstep. Parking was very easy with lots of space on the road outside rye hooded. A mist is a visit to Cragside only 5 mins drive from the house.

The property served our walking holiday very well. We did however have some problems .

We enjoyed the space on offer. We had problems however with the showers, some of the mattresses need replacing and disappointed with the outside space. Overall it was good value however . We made good use of the spacious kitchen and dining room and the fact that we all had our own rooms and bathrooms.

Good house for family party

The house was well situated and well equipped. It did nees some checking of light bulbs, electrical equipment. For example, faulty heater in dining room and heated towel rail did not work in one room. However, the children loved all the bathrooms and having TVs in their rooms. Having 2 sitting rooms was excellent. We would recommend Orchard House.
